NCL Suite Perks

Hey everyone, this will be our first cruise. We are a family of four (two teenagers) and are looking at the Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony. What are the perks that come with this suite? By perks I mean:

1. Food (meals)

2. Drinks (in and outside the room)

3. Cost of onboard shows

4. What other costs will we expect to pay?

Thanks so much... and anything else you can tell me would be amazing. :D

Which ship?

There are a few differences, although the layout of the 2BR suites is usually about the same (but there are some exceptions).

But the Haven facilities can differ, so if we know which ship you're on or are considering, we can better help.

Warning: If you start your cruising in a Haven suite... it will be difficult to downscale :D

We were in the Haven 2-Bedroom on the Escape last Fall. ALL meals were available in the Haven restaurant. We also received daily snacks in our room such as fruits, sandwiches, cheeses, banana/lemon bread. We had a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival which we didn't use as we aren't drinkers. 2 of us had the ubp but we only used it for sodas and virgin drinks. We purchased the soda pkg for the other guests in our room. We didn't pay extra for any shows and we did have priority seating.

Wow!  This thread was started in 2013!  Booked my first suite, a 2 bedroom family suite on the Jade.  I see breakfast/lunch will be offered at one of the specialty restaurant locations.  Is there a required dress code for breakfast and lunch...obviously no swimwear, but wondering about popping in for breakfast before going to the gym wearing workout clothes (yoga pants and a jacket for me, shorts and long sleeve dry fit shirt for my DH) yes or no?  Also, what are the hours of service?  Thanks!

Nonsense. You might not have your meal served exactly the time you choose, but you will get your dinner served in your room if you ask. If your butler attempts to tell you he cannot serve dinner, he is being lazy. The butlers work as a team and if one is overtaxed, others will assist him.

Exactly what happened on Breakaway in Haven, as a matter of fact on a 9 day cruise we hardly ever seen her, saw the night butler more if we ordered room service and I had no clue I could have requested the room service food from O'Sheehans

2 bedroom suite is our FAVORITE rooms on Escape, Breakaway and Gem - looking forward to the Bliss as well next year.

As has been mentioned previously, go to the NCL website for the most up-to-date information. In regards to the perks of the H4:

1. 2 Bathrooms and a real 2nd bedroom (perfect for 2 teens).

2. Balcony is small, but lovely

3. The main bathroom ....is magnificent. 2 sinks, almost too much room, a rain shower to die for, and a tub with the best view you could ask for.

4. Pre-concierge will load up your fridge with all of your favorites - we request a pitcher of ice tea and almond milk. Pre-concierge will also help you with all reservations and requests. Many have to be confirmed on-board, and your butler / concierge can help with anything.

5. Speaking of the butler / concierge ... expect to never wait nor want for anything. Service not only with a smile...but a smile and genuine desire to make you happy. They escort you on & off the ship, to the shows, and show up at your specialty restaurants to make sure all is perfect.

6. Room service any time - white tablecloth and all

7. Afternoon snacks to die for...

There is literally too much to list here - but I know you will love The Suite Life - it's highly addictive! We are 23 days to go to our next Gem trip and I am literally counting the hours at this point.
