MS52 Posted January 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2013 We are just Platinum after our January cruise and are now entitled to a balcony discount for our next cruise. We've have already booked for next year. I'm waiting for our points to be credited so I can call and ask for the discount to be applied. I just noticed that there's also a C&A certificate for our cruise. ($200) Can they both be applied or are you just entitled to one? I suspect I already know the answer but thought I'd ask the experts. :o
SSPhone Posted January 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Just had the same, Balcony and C&A certificate. They were not combinable, but the C&A certificate was for $25 more so choice it.
MS52 Posted January 17, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted January 17, 2013 I guess my next question is - just how much is the Platinum balcony discount? It doesn't say on the website. And does the discount increase as your status increases? Thanks.
SSPhone Posted January 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Depends on number of nights and yes it does increase with each tier.

Someone else may be able to confirm but I believe the Platinum balcony discount is $200 with a 6 month+ reservation and $175 under 6 months. It increases to $225 / $200 with Diamond and $250 / $225 with D+. At Platinum the savings certificates and balcony discounts typically equal each other as you have seen and at D and higher typically the balcony discount is greater than the certificates. Just have to look and compare.

These are for the 6 months ahead booking. Book less than 6 months in advance and each is reduced by $25. There is a thread somewhere on here with the exact info for each level, length of cruise, and cabin type.

Hate to give incorrect info.
