Discount applied for Pinnacle Dinners

Just wondering if you reserve Pinnacle Dinners in advance of your cruise and obviously pay with your credit card at the time how then can/do they show/give you your discount if you are a 3, 4 or 5 star Mariner?

on your on board account after you have the dinner. It's automatic.

Only 3 and 4 Star Mariners get a discount in the speciality restaurants.

25% for 3 Star Mariners

50% for 4 and 5 Star Mariners

The discount is applied once you are on the ship. Quite a few times we have had to fight for our discounts.

Guess we're lucky - We've never had an issue with the discounts - and have been pleased with way their system works.

Whenever we have prebooked and paid the full charge for Pinnacle, our on board account has always been automatically credited with the discount. We've never had to ask but we always check our bill and they always apply the discount.

I've never had a problem with having the discount credited to my on board account, but just to be on the safe side, I always print out my confirmation from HAL that shows I paid the full price when booking.

We always mention our pre paid status at the reservation desk and ask that the discount be applied and it always is.

I just booked on-line the Pinnacle for our upcoming cruise. I print off a receipt with the particulars, so I can take it with me incase there is any question about price, dates, times etc.. We have never had any problems with our '4' star discounts being deducted and having Hal credit our on board account the difference.

We always print out the confirmation e-mail that is sent to us.

And once on the ship we always re-confirm our reservations.

And I do check our shipboard account every 3 or 4 days. The front office and Neptune Lounge (if you are in that cabin category) will be happy to run off a current listing of your spending and credits.

We wait until we are on board to book specialty restaurants and there is no problem with the discount. We wait to book as we are never sure when we want to eat in the PG - have never had a problem getting a reservation probably since we eat when they open the door.
