Delta Curb Side Check in in FLL?

Hi, does anyone know if Delta has curb side check in in Ft. Lauderdale?

Yes. I used Delta two weeks ago. You can check bags curbside 4 hours prior to your flight. Inside, it's two hours pre-flight.

Thanks so much! I am so stressed about flying out of Lauderdale. Our flights have been changed and I just realized the West Jet is using a Delta operated flight. This is some really good news that Curb Side is available in FLL as I am hoping it will be a little less stessful getting through the airport on a Sunday.

Gotta love curbside check in. Your bag is weighed outside and if it happens to be a little overweight just make sure you tip the attendant well.:)

Hmmm...Really...Don't count on this..my family of 6 adults were shifting luggage contents around on the sidewalk before one particular DL flight home from FLL (and we weren't the only ones)..We have since made sure that never happens again thanks to our travel scale ;):)

And just think...if everyone did this with their overweight baggage..the weight load would obviously not make any difference regarding safety :eek:...

 

However someone sure would be making a nice extra income..at least for a while :rolleyes:

 

I guess since BIL is a retired UA Captain I tend to follow flight rules :)

Does anybody know what time curbside check in opens at Ft Lauderdale Delta Airlines? I have a 7 am flight.

Note this is a 4 year old thread...it may not be current.

 

We had a 7:15 flight out of Ft Lauderdale last November on United. We arrived at 4:45 from our hotel. They checked us in at 4:45, but the TSA line didn't open until 5am. Then they had a security issue, which delayed the TSA line starting for about 15 minutes.

 

Moral of the story? No real reason to be there before 5am.
