Passport Expiring?

We're doing Alaska Inside Passage on June 28. Sigh. It's good they're finally changing it though. It was such a pain in the butt every 5 years.... DH almost considered getting his US citizenship. ;) almost.

I went in to renew yesterday; an extra $30 and I can pick up next Wednesday.

 

I called and spoke to a CS agent with NCL who said it SHOULD be valid; but depending on the ports we're travelling to, and the 'tone' of the immigration officer/individuals who let you on the ship, it could be a different story. NCL couldn't confirm (nor deny) I'd be let on the ship.

 

Better safe than sorry.

Can he not just use WHTI compliant documents with what ever papers he needs to get back to USA

He could take his Expired Passport as I.D.

I am not up on the iin's & out's of it all

my nephew moved to TX & married there & had to get all his papers in order but he has his Canadian Passport & kiddies have dual citizenship

 

Of course if you are flying cross border that is another story

Yeah, we're flying from Pitt to Toronto then Vancouver. Looks like he'll be one of the last to get a 5 yr passport.
