this will be our first time with celebrity, can anyone give any insight regarding classic drinks package, i.e. range of drinks and bars available.

Which Classic drink package, as there are two, one is the Classic Non-Alcohol package and the second is the Classic Alcohol package. If you're purchasing the one with alcohol, you can order any beverage up to $8 a glass, in any bar or lounge. The only place you cannot use any of the drink packages is room service or your in cabin bar. If you order a drink that's more than $8, you will have to pay the full price, as its not covered by the Classic package.
