Do Gold Members Receive any Coupon Booklets?

Every passenger received the same (useless) coupon booklet in their cabin. There is no coupon for free Internet.

Almost every coupon in the book requires you to spend money on something you probably did not want in the first place.

Some examples:

o 10% off a purchase of $150 or more of Crislu brand cubic zirconias.

o Purchase any Citizen brand watch and enter a contest to win a Citizen Quartz watch.

There is also another booklet of coupons offered by some travel agents during some sales during the year. If this is a part of your booking, it will also be in your cabin when you embark. Over the past several years, any really useful coupons in that booklet have been eliminated.

As Bill says, the coupons are mostly good for use as a drink coaster or to balance a tippy table. Essentially useless unless you are already planning to spend a lot of money for wine, in the spa, for jewelry, etc. It doesn't matter whether it's the booklet everyone gets or the "special" booklet supposedly worth $$$. I think one coupon of benefit in the TA's booklet is 10% off a shop purchase. I think there's a coupon for the casino but since I've never done anything other than walk through the casino, I don't remember.

Did there used to be a coupon for 2for1 for the coffee cards in the booklet from the TAs?? I remember reading people were trying to share:eek:

Is there a coupon for free mug with coffee card???

The coffee card 2:1 ended over two years ago. Old coupons are not valid. No coffee-related coupon.

On our last Princess cruise, Trans-Atlantic crossing, we received the TA booklet and it contained the 2 for 1 coffee card. Only used one card a few times, so will take it and the unused one back on our next Princess cruise, as these are re-usable until all punches are gone. Don't know anything about the free mug with the coffee card.

I also recall reading there's been a change since our last Princess Cruise regarding the unlimited use of the card for the freshly brewed coffee and the hot chocolate. Something about it only being valid for this on the cruise the card was purchased on ? Will they still honor my cards for this great feature, as there is no date or cruise ship mentioned on my cards to indicate they were bought previously ? Anyone know ?

Pam,

The old coffee cards are still valid, right, just not the coupons to aquire them ? I still have about 23 unused punches between my two cards. I hope they honor them, or those seven premium coffees I had were expensive !

Yes, they still honor the old cards for premium coffees.

Thanks beg3yrs,

Do you know if the will also honor them for unlimited freshly brewed coffee and the hot chocolate in the IC or MDR ?

The new style cards have a place to write the ship name

and date on the back. The intent is that the card is good

for brewed coffee only for that voyage. As before, any

remaining punches can be carried over.

If you have a completely unused old card, often you can exchange

it for a new card, and thus have fresh brewed coffee for the

current voyage.

Pablo222 answered this question quite well. However, if you don't have an unused card, offer to even exchange it for a new-style card with the same number of punches removed. Smile very nicely, if the bartender/barista says no, ask for his supervisor.

As indicated in the above post, an unpunched card may be exchanged for a current card which will be good for the unlimited fresh brewed coffee and hot chocolate on that voyage. The punches on your card with already has at least one punch done are good until used up on as many voyages as it takes to to it.

The fresh brewed coffee and hot chocolate are at the IC (or lobby bar on the ships without an IC), but not in the dining room.

The old coupons were just that: coupons with an expiration date just like a grocery coupon. A coffee card is different.
