Rough Seas from NY?

berbet

Recommended Posts

Sometimes the seas are rough, sometimes they're calm.

^This is the correct answer^

It all depends on the weather. Since most Bermuda cruises are during the time of year known as "hurricane season", you can easily find yourself steaming in heavy seas. You can also find yourself traveling in quite placid waters.

No way to predict more than a week or so ahead.

We've gone to Bermuda out of NY or NJ many, many times either in May or Sept. Sometimes the sea was as smooth as glass, sometimes "not so smooth" As other posters have indicated, it's totally unpredictable. I've sailed TA out of NY in the winter and it's been smoother than sailing to Bermuda in May!
