You can just make her out on the webcam right now. She should be sailing shortly.

The Harbor House webcam is about 5 nm from the Redhook pier, so it takes an extreme zoom-in to capture any ship up there.

It is amazing to me how they are able to zoom in as they do. I believe most (all?) of the PTZtv webcams were upgraded recently.

 

The weather seems to have deteriorated (as pmb1 said was predicted) in the last few minutes. If you didn't know what you were looking for, you wouldn't be able to see her.

I hope they get some better weather during the cruise.

I was on board and now I am sitting on deck chair

As I am typing this she is in the process of entering New York

yes ,that was very early NY time. At 4 am the QM2 passed under the Verrazzano Bridge,an hour earlier due to tide.

Sailing TransAtlantic is wonderful. Foggy at times. Much more formal than the

4th of July cruise.Britannia dinning is 5 star. There is a classical group that plays music on the upper level of Britannia ,which makes the dinning experience so much more in the Tradition.
