CleverScubaCruiser Posted March 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2013 Our cruise ship itinerary includes a stop at L'Anse aux Meadows this June. This is a relatively new port of call so I haven't found very much information for cruisers. Is it possible to walk from the tender pier to the archaeological site? Will transportation to Norstead be available? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
maryann ns Posted March 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Try posting your questions on Trip Advisor. I have not been to L'anse aux Meadows for many years but it is well worth going. I am guessing that your port is St. Anthony. You may want to check this site and contact the town: http://www.town.stanthony.nf.ca/lanse_aux_meadows.php
retiring soon Posted March 26, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2013 HI all! I can't answer the question about the distance from the port since I was there on a bus trip but it is a very worthwhile place to visit. It was pretty chilly when we were there at the end of June. You might be able to see icebergs while there. Nfld is a lovely place to visit. ~ Jo ~ :)
