Pizza on Navigator?

Recommended Posts

Yeah I agree.

Carnival's pizza was far superior. (Its inevitable that I'm going to compare RCCL and Carnival constantly now that I've cruised both in a short period of time lol, so you'll all have to excuse that). ;)

My 18 year-old DS, and 13 year-old DD loved it, but I don't eat pizza, so couldn't verify. Looked like frozen pizza. If you can get the cookies from Cafe Promenade when warm, are yummy!

I'm sorry, but I just have to say this. I agree with others who say the pizza is not the best they've ever had, but I ate a slice a couple of days in the Windjammer though.

However, every time I see this question asked, I think, EAT something else!!! You're on vacation!! LOL. Eat Pizza at home.:D There are many other different, and better things to eat! Why worry about the pizza anyway?

I guess the reason RCI doesn't FIX THIS is because they don't see it as a FACTOR for whether or not people will cruise with them, and neither do I.:)

No, it really isn't very good. So why couldn't I pass up a piece every few days at the Promenade Cafe?? There's something about walking in there and getting a slice whenever you like. Our room was on the 6th floor and we walked through the promenade so often throughout the day. I would stop and get a cup of coffee and well, sometimes the pizza just called my name...

I thought the pizza was quite good....didn't resemble frozen pizza to me at all ...I'd call it a step up from Domino's...not as good as Chicago pizza though!;)

Sorry, I know you are from Chicago... but New York pizza is as far ahead of Chicago's as the Yankees are ahead of the Cubs!

You know, the more I think about this, the more I realize that pizza is so subjective, like most other foods. A NY'er will say that only NY pizza is good.

Some people like Domino's, some Like Papa Johns,(which I hate-too much sauce)Some like Pizza hut. So, I think it all depends on HOW you like your pizza.

I like my pizza thin, and crispy, not too much sauce, tons of toppings but not too spicy.

So to each their own, but I would not say that RCI's pizza is bad, awful, or anything else for that matter. I'd say it's just a smidge better than frozen, better than Tombstone, and maybe simmilar to De Giorno.

Agree Corona, It is very subjective!

And I prefer Chicago pizza and the Cubs :D

I ate quite a bit of pizza on the Navigator...I've had better and worse. We always seemed to grab a slice when leaving the Casino for the evening. For some reason Room Service didn't have peppers, we now remember to bring some packs from home :D

Reading about pizza really makes me want some. I love Papa Johns, but some people hate it. Pizza really is personal taste. While a lot of people like pizza as a snack on a cruise, I agree it is should not really be a factor into whether you cruise with a certain line. There are so many much more important things than pizza, though it could be argued that the pizza is along the lines of the rest of the food on RCCL. ::rolleyes::

One thing I noticed is that there seems to be 3 different kinds of pizza on RCCL. (Crusts) One of them is pretty good, one is OK, and one is horible.) the Navigator was OK< the Mariner was pretty bad, the rhapsody wasn't great at all, the legend was ok, the brilliance was good, the radiance was good, etc etc. Maybe different ways of preparing it.

PS - STill liked princess' pizza a lot better! Actually home made right infront of you!

I do agree with the new yorkers, New York had some AWESOME pizza when i was out there a few years ago!

I'm real big on pizza and I thought the pizza was good when I was leaving the disco at 2 a.m. and stopped for a bite. I've got to add my opinion and say that Philly has the best pizza. I tried NY pizza a few years ago and it was on a bobali - not real crust. Well, just my opinion.

Pizza on a boboli? then you haven't had real NY pizza! Try Ray's in the village next time in NYC.

BTW--Pizza was real good when we were on Disney--Im hoping it's ok on Voyager. 4 days to go!
