And we requested a particular butler on this past trip in PH (two weeks ago). Actually, we requested one of three, since we didn't know their schedules as far as vacation, ship, etc., - and got the butler we wanted.

What we liked very much was the excellent and comfortable chairs and the fact, that the view to the ocean or port was not blocked . It was very relaxing just watching the waves, searching for the fishes or birds. We loved the balcony. For those who are interested in the detail , you may see the difference of the deckchair at a penthouse suite vs. concierge veranda.

Did you request a butler you had before on the same ship? Do butlers and other crew tend to return to the same ship or transfer to another when they come back from vacation?

Change ships when they change contracts. At least my favorite is. He said one contract on Riviera and then one on Marina.

We are thinking of booking a cruise on Riveria for September. They have only got guaranteed penthouse suites left. Would you recommend booking one of these?
