cherylandtk Posted April 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2013 On our recent cruise on the Crown it was 7 pm, two hours after scheduled departure, before the ship could fully open the bars and sell alcohol without the Texas tax stickers. The same timing probably applies to port taxes on sales.
Astro Flyer Posted April 21, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2013 Cruises from New Orleans charge Lousiana taxes until out of the Mississippi River & into the Gulf of Mexico. On a recent RCCL cruise that resulted in taxes on purchases until nearly midnight on the 1st night of the cruise.
