Fort Lauderdale Hotel Rates March 2014

Is there something big going on in Fort Lauderdale March 14 in or around Fort Lauderdale? I understand it's spring break time but we usually stay at the Hyatt Place off 17th street and I'm finding rates for that time are over $300 a night!

I would attribute this to Spring Break and the fact that demand continues to increase from where it was just two years ago in both Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Why would a hotel offer a discount rate 11 months out :confused: - reserve something now that you can live with and then keep shopping as you get closer to your sail date. Good luck! :)

That is what we do;). Booked a backup last month for our January cruise and it recently went up already by $30!!!

Travelers are out in full force compared to the drop two and three years ago. Flights, hotels, cruises etc. especially early out are way up there. Now add the busiest month of travel for spring vacations.....:eek:

 

Go ahead as suggested book something cancelable now. And sit back and watch and wait for a value on a discount site.
