ricethief Posted May 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2013 I was looking at doing a snorkeling and diving tour in Pattaya while cruising on the Millennium, the ship departs at 19.00 and the tour goes from 8.00 to 16.30. From what I read it takes 30 mins to get from Pattaya to Laem Chabang which should get me back to the ship between 17.00-17.30. Question is am leaving the timing too tight for not making it back to the ship? Also am I risking it relying on the tour coming back ashore in Pattaya on time and driver getting us back to the ship on time?
Rare Keith1010 Posted May 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2013 You need to be back on the ship at least 30 minutes before you sail and I would aim for one hour. Keith
paul929207 Posted May 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2013 Generally, these private tours are very dependable. We have never had a problem getting back. Their reputation and therefore future business is dependent on not missing the ship
ricethief Posted May 3, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted May 3, 2013 Thanks Kieth and Paul, if everything goes to plan I would be back at the dock 1.5-2 hours before sailing, it I'm sure not everything will go to plan. I wasn't sure if I'm pushing my luck hoping that the snorkeling boat goes back on time then hoping that the transfer is ready to pick me up to take me to the port. It's probably too much of a risk so early in the cruise and would spoil my cruise if I missed the ship.
