Chateau to dock transportation?

Will be spending the night at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec. Departing the next morning on the Veendam.

 

Presume that a cab is the best way to get to the dock with luggage.

 

Any ideas what the cost will be for 2 people?

Depending on how much luggage (one wheeled bag each?) you could walk it in a matter of minutes. If you did cab it, I can't see it being very much it is very close!!

The eccolo bus is a good option but keep in mind that it is very small and you might have a problem getting your luggage on. We considered taking it to the port last Oct but after seeing one of the busses, we opted for a taxi. It was about $11 CAD from our Old Quebec hotel to the port.

 

If you decide to walk, the Funicular is next to Chateau and once you get off in Lower Town, it would be about a 10 min walk depending on your pace. However, compare the cost of the Funicular with a taxi when making your plans.

Keep in mind as well that the roads tend to be cobblestone type in some areas and made pulling our luggage difficult at times.
