amberdawn85 Posted May 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2013 Hi there! We are flying into Fort Lauderdale. First should we stay there and get a hotel for the night or for to Miami and get a hotel there? Any recommendations? Also anybody recommend a limo service from Fort to Miami? Thank you :)

Intercontinental is available for $125 including tax

Budget wise probably less that 200 or so

Budget wise probably less that 200 or so You can book SAS Transportation for the ride to Miami. Cost is still $15 pp I think. You can also arrange for ride back to the airport through them. Intercontinental is available through Last Minute Travel. It's the first 5 start hotel that doesn't say the name. Call to get best rate.
Rare Keith1010 Posted May 12, 2013 #8 Share Posted May 12, 2013 If you are arriving to Florida late in the evening you may want to stay at a Fort Lauderdale hotel near the airport. If you are flying in much earlier then that you may want to stay at a downtown Miami Hotel. Keith
JohninDC Posted May 12, 2013 #9 Share Posted May 12, 2013 For shared shuttle service from FLL to Miami/POM there are many options - SAS, QLS, MJS and others are often suggested here. Prices, as mentioned above, start at about $15 per person each way. For a limo from FLL to Miami/POM Go Airport Shuttle (located inside the FLL airport) used to have a private Lincoln town car service for about $75; others to check with include Larry's Limos. There's no beach in Miami - for that you need Miami Beach. Arriving in FLL early (red eye?) I would head to South Beach for dining, nightlife and the beach and then cab to POM the next day. Your other option is to stay near FLL - great beach area :D - and then shuttle/cab/limo to POM the next day. Good luck! :)
wallie5446 Posted May 13, 2013 #10 Share Posted May 13, 2013 FYI, the morning of the cruise a lot of the car services will be booked picking returning pax up going from the ships to the airports. It is about a 30 minute ride from FLL to POM, do you do it the night before or the morning of ?? Depends on what time you can get in line to board your ship. For our Nov cruise we are staying the night before in Miami, ( no flights on S/W from Dallas to Miami, so we have to go into FLL ) that way we can watch the ships come into port, have a lazy breakfast, and head over to the Reflection around 11:30 to 12:00. We have been pricing FLL to the Hyatt at the POM, shared shuttle, $25-30 pp, private car, $75-90 for up to 4 people. Go Shuttle, Jiffy Jeff, Fenix, Carmel, all have good comments. If they go thru a toll booth, that is extra.
