Cannes - Best things to do abound port area

What are the best things to do within walking distance around the port area where we will be tendering on June 25.

Thank you

You will tender into the dock located at the old harbor. If you want to stay in town you do have several options depending on what you consider "walking distance." It is possible to walk from the tender pier to anyplace in the main part of Cannes if you are comfortable walking a couple of miles during your port stay. There is also a pretty decent sandy beach located only a few minutes walk from the pier. Cannes also runs a popular mini train (Le Petit Train) which is an easy way to get a tour of the main part of Cannes without doing much walking.

As to what to do in Cannes, other then the beach it is another shore city. There is some decent shopping and plenty of good eating venues.

Hi

don't mis a walk (or a trip with the little tourist train) to the old part of Cannes, called 'Le Suquet'. It's near the old port where tenders dock (uphill), with narrow streets and cosy restaurants. Above there's a museum and a wonderfull view over the city and the sea where you can see the tendered ships.

May I ask you if you're on the Ociania Riviera? We do, and we're in Cannes at the same day you do.
