Rare Keith1010 Posted July 22, 2016 #26 Share Posted July 22, 2016 I am not big on the Hyatt Pier 66. Restaurants are not right there other than its own restaurants and to me they have milked the property. I would stay at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa instead. A ride to the ship is very easy via a taxi and doesn't cost much. Keith
Joywrk Posted July 22, 2016 #27 Share Posted July 22, 2016 We really liked the Marriott Residence Il Lugano. Close to the water taxi tour and close to restaurants etc. Lovely rooms and great included breakfast
2SailingNomads Posted July 23, 2016 #28 Share Posted July 23, 2016 We stayed at the Ritz a few years ago, but not related to a cruise and definitely enjoyed it. Service was very good at the pool and restaurants and not only were we able to get a very early check in but also an upgraded room. Your mileage may vary. Pre or post cruise we usually stay at the Hyatt. As a top level Hyatt member they always have gone the extra mile for me and we like the Pier 66 restaurant & Happy Hour . apuleius Posted July 25, 2016 #29 Share Posted July 25, 2016 Earlier this year we stayed at The Pillars a small and lovely boutique property just across from the Ritz. It has a deck directly on the intercostal do you can arrive by water taxi! There is also a great restaurant calked the Secret Garden. We loved it despite appalling weather which meant we could not take advantage of the pretty though small outdoor areas.
