Allure OTS - Ken Rush Nov 24 until sometime in February, then Allan Brooks. (need handover date)

 

Anthem OTS - Richard Spacey will be taking the ship out, with Ken Rush helping him with behind the scenes CD duties to provide a smooth take out. They will likely remain onboard for 6-8 weeks. (Then, Joff Eaton will take over as regular CD of this ship - needs confirmation).

 

Brilliance OTS - Clo O'Connor November 23 until Steve Davis returns from his break in February (handover date?)

Enchantment OTS - John Blair from November 8 through January 10, then Marc Walker January 10 for approx 4 months, followed by John Blair for approx. 2 months.

 

Explorer OTS - Leigh Xuereb October 5 until February 9, with Erky as his Activities Manager. Then John Blair from February 9 until April 10 with Katrina Blair as his Activities Manager. Then Leigh (CD) and Erky (AM) will be returning from their break on April 10 for approx. 4 months, followed by the Blairs for approx 2 months. (Leigh and the Blairs will continue to alternate in this pattern until the ship goes into drydock in January 2015, however May-Aug is Erky's last contract. He will not be returning, as he plans to marry and work as a commercial airline pilot in Turkey.)

 

Freedom OTS - Richard Spacey from Sept 8 until December 22, then Mike Hunnerup will be covering Richard's break from December 22 through mid-late February. Richard expects to be back on Freedom for one more contract mid-to-late February until mid-to-late June before heading over to Germany to prepare for Quantum, then to prepare for Anthem, then to prepare for Oasis III.

Can you find out when Topi is leaving Serenade? I'm sailing on Feb 15. It sounds like they will change right around that time.

Donna, now that I've gone thru detox (aka Premium Drink Package), I remember now that the Blairs plunked me down on a seat in the CL and wanted to know everything I knew about the 2 masters for Navigator. I told them I'd see them on EX in April and John said that right now it's looking like their next ship will be Navigator.

We had the Blairs on the Explorer New England cruise in September, the energy they gave off was amazing, and we were really impressed with Johns Neil Diamond tribute show.

Why in the world would they give Jimmy Rhodes the Quantum gig, he is the least personable cruise director I have ever experienced. We have had him many times as we cruised on the Exployer over 10 times. If he is on our Quantum cruise in January 2015, it will definitely be our last on Quantum, we will be diamond plus by then, so may try other lines, or different port of departure. We will see if he has had an attitude adjustment since he has been gone. Loved Leigh and Erky, and Richard Spacey.

I'm with you. Cannot stand Jimmy Rhodes, and can't imagine why RCI made him the regular CD of their newest ship. Certainly many other CD's are a better fit.

 

Quantum sails from our homeport, so we'll make sure to only book cruises during Jimmy's break.
