Price Drop?

We have recently booked with RCI after our last several cruises being with Carnival. Some kind person here please explain RCI's price drop policy and what would havce to happen for me to possibly get an OBC or similar.

Pretty simple with Royal before final. If you booked it, call them, if not , your TA and they will change the price.

After you make the final payment you are out of luck, but sometimes it is possible to get upgraded to better digs.

Their sale right now is the same price but includes an OBC. Since the price is the same, I can't cash in on that in any way, right?

Right. Any price drop you see prior to final payment will be honored unless it is for new bookings only as on the weekly Tues. sales. After final payment there is no credit or OBC. If a higher catagory is available for the same money you paid, you can upgrade to that catagory.

... or if a price drop makes an upgrade attractive, you can generally pay the difference and upgrade.

Plus the WOW sale now specifically excludes existing bookings. Has to be a new booking, and you can't cancel and rebook either to get the WOW OBC.

Actually they go by final payment date, not when final payment was made.
