What is your favorite eating venue on the Allure and why?

I love the Park Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The English muffins (egg, bacon and cheese!) are a great way to start the day and for lunch you get a good choice of made to order salad or things like the roast beef sandwich. Also much less busy than the windjammer!

  • Breakfast - MDR - Less congested and more relaxing. Also for the eggs benedict
  • Lunch on Sea Days - Less congested and more relaxing. The Tutti Salad bar with the mounds of shrimp is delicious
  • Lunch on Port Days - Park Café for the Roast Beef sandwich
  • Snack - Promenade Café. Also the Park Café as that's the only place on the ship to get potato chips
  • Dinner - MDR - Contrary what others have posted on the CC Forums I enjoy the food selection and service .

We liked the Wipe Out Cafe for afternoon snacks and breakfast, made to order omelets and much less busy than the Windjammer. For lunch, Park Cafe. We loved the roast beef sandwiches, salads, and fruit cups. Late night snacks, Sorrento's and Promenade Cafe. We never tried any of the specialty restaurants.

We liked:

1) the park place cafe for lunch on embarkation day

2) Chef's Table for a special dinner. It costs, but for us, it was fun and worth in. The wine flowed and we met some others that we continue to be friends with.

3) Samba's. We liked the the food and just taking our time to eat

4) DW loves room service on balcony

More than one. If I had to pick one, it would be Samba's. We went twice on our sailing.

Park Café for breakfast or lunch, all the food there was fantastic

Johnny Rockets for breakfast

Enjoyed the Dog House for a really good hot dog

dinner: Chops, this was our favorite restaurant

liked Giovannia's(I know that is spelled wrong), food was good but would not do it again

we are in the minority here, but we did not like 150 Central and will not go back there again

dining room had good dinners and great service

went to the Windjammer 2 times and always had good food and never had a problem finding a table, as a matter of fact when we approached the entrance, we were escorted to a table.

We too struggled with 150 Central. Expensive wine pairing and a little more formal/stuffy than we liked. Did try one hot dog, but it was in passing and ate while walking somewhere?!

Our MDR experience was not good. We ate there once and at a table for two. Tables were so close together, we got to see waiters backside as they served diners next to us. Also, we were so close to them we basically felt like we were sitting together. Okay if that is what you wanted or expected. We were looking for a dinner for 2, not potentially 6 with 2 others on each side.

We wanted a two top in the dinning room. would we be better off with My Time Dinning? Is there more space?

Yes, is is much easier to get a table for two in My Time Dining.

Hi, we are excited about an upcoming sailing on the Allure. I am dizzy with all the dining choices. What do you like and why?

After twice, I don't have an absolute favorite and glad to have a week to try them all and a couple of a few times.

Thanks for posting to by query. Can't wait for our Allure experience. BTW, a bit off topic but does one have to make reservations beforehand/online for the big shows onboard?

You should make all the reservations you can in advance for Allure, especially the comedy show. There is a line at the venue for people who don't have reservations. They allow this line to enter the venue about 10 minutes before the show starts. However, you will get the best seats by having advance reservations.

The park place cafe for a light breakfast and lunch was our favourite

The Chef's Table is awesome for that special dinner. It may look expensive, but the food is excellent and you get a reasonable amount of wine included in the price (Champagne on entry, and 5 different with the meal). Also included is a chef's apron and a RCI recipe book.

You get to meet others who enjoy good food. This has a maximum of 14 settings. If you do go, look at the light shades above the table. :)

I really loved the Solarium for breakfast and lunch. Not only did it have healthier and more flavorful options, but the views and ambiance were amazing! There is a little stream that goes through the floor which I loved. And we had breakfast there the morning when we were in St. Thomas and seeing the island as we were eating was breathtaking!

We did not try any restaurants that you had to pay a fee for, but we never really felt like we were missing out. I suppose that depends on your personality though. The MDR for dinner suited us just fine. :)

Really enjoyed the Solarium Bistro for breakfast. Relaxing, with great views, and the best fresh fruit (mango, papaya, pineapple, etc.).

Lots of choices for lunch! While we enjoyed the food at all locations, we were most relaxed at the Windjammer! There is more seating at the Windjammer than any other location, and we enjoyed the view. Other places i.e. Park Café are nice, but have limited seating. I guess the key is to try to have lunch either before or after the midday rush.
