sjde Posted July 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2013 Is there a certain night of a 9 night cruise that the captain's dinner will be? We'd probably want to eat in the GDR that night so wouldn't want to pre-reserve a specialty restaurant.

There is no special Captain's dinner so just pick a night that suits your schedule

On Oceania, the night of the "Captains Dinner" means that the bars throughout the ship dispense free booze for a few hours, as the Captain and his senior officers mingle with the passengers. The Menu in the Grand Dining Room is not particularly festive on that night, and it is definitely not the only time that you will see lobster, crab, foie gras, or any other delicacy. The food is uniformly wonderful on Oceania, and you will be fine in any of the Restaurants. Enjoy it!
Rare ronrick1943 Posted July 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2013 They can skip the free cocktails, just have extra nights of pan seared Foie Gras and those little black fish egg's................ Rick
rogfam Posted July 10, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2013 Will be on a 18 day Marina cruise staying in PH. Entitled to make 8 precruise reservation. Which is best, via website, or Oceania 800 number?

Which is best, via website, or Oceania 800 number? That probably depends on you. People who were weaned on Computers tend to like to do it online, while those who came to them....er....later in life, seem to prefer Ma Bell. rogfam Posted July 10, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 10, 2013 Does Oceania have a Smoke Signal account!!
Steviewonder1 Posted July 11, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 11, 2013 Yes, but only while in port and it is limited to 5 smoke signals per minute! It may take a bit of time to get the message out the stack!
