The nightmares have started!!

We leave in 2 days and sail in 5! My first nightmare a few days ago was that I was meeting an excursion and had to use the bathroom. I asked our guide if I could run back on the ship. He said to hurry. Then when I was running back to the ship I realized that everyone forgot to bring their beach stuff (swimsuits, etc.) and we were going to the beach. I had to run to our cabins and find everyone's suits. I got back just in time! I woke up and my pulse was racing...I guess that one really stressed me out.

The one last night was the typical one where you are halfway to the port (which took 2 days to get to) and you realize you forgot your passport.

Can't wait to be on the road so these nightmares stop!

You need to relax your brain before you go to bed! LOL!

Have an awesome cruise!

BTW -- fellow Hoosier, moved to FL from Fishers!

I've got OCD, so when planing it's pretty much a waking nightmare being worried about packing. I would suggest making a detailed list of what you have to have. Check each thing as it's packed. For passports, boarding pass, and any other paper work I store it in a portfolio then keep it in my back pack. Might not work for every one, but makes life much easier for me. Have a great cruise.

Yes, I need to have some herbal tea before bed!

You are living our dream! We moved here 10 years ago from sunny California. We would love to move to Florida...I have a good friend who lives in Clearwater and would love to move near her. Do you like it there?

We love the Gulf coast!

But we miss our grown daughters who are still in Indiana (Fishers and Pendleton).

Son is in Naples, which is great -- that's where we'd love to live! Maybe after I retire!:)

I have had the passport dream twice. Both times were months before a cruise. I decided to set reminders on my phone to remind me a week before our cruises to pack our passports. :)

Hope you have a Great Time!!

Great list! We are doing all the last minute things today. I'll call my DS and DSGF and go down the list with them, too.

Yes, I know I burned calories during my nightmare! I couldn't believe how fast my pulse was!

We just went through Fishers...I waved to your daughter :D.

My kids are west coast kids, so I think when they graduate college they will move anyway. At least when you live in Florida, your daughters probably love to visit!

I have had all sorts of cruise nightmares even when I don't have a cruise booked!

I have had the typical ones of forgetting important documents and not enough time to get home to get them and get back on time. I have had ones where the ship flips over, runs aground, goes impossible speeds and parks inside the terminal. But recently I had a first!

I had a dream the other night that I got all checked in with no problem and then realized I left my luggage in the car. So I get a ride back to the car with port security and open the trunk and there is NO luggage in there. 5 day cruise with nothing but the clothes on my back. I just remember walking back to the terminal wondering how I was going to make it work because I was certainly not gonna go home.

I know I'm getting close when I start having cruise nightmares....:p

I worked real hard to coordinate my cruise wardrobe down to a 21" rolling carry-on with a matching duffle bag that fits on top.

So far, so good. I'm taking

2 pairs slacks

4 pairs capri

3 pairs shorts

8 tops that coordinate with all the bottoms

undies

sport socks

bathing suit & coverup

night gown

light weight jacket

sandals

makeup bag with travel size meds/firstaide kit/hairspray/brush/razor/lotion

I usually board in blue jeans/top and tennis shoes.

We're Platinum and sometimes send out laundry, but since we stay on the ship in at least one port we tend to do our own laundry if we need to.

I have had a recurrent nightmare ever since I started cruising. I always forget my suitcase and have no clothes except the ones on my back. i dream this almost every pre-cruise! Weird really, I have not forgotten it ever. I did forget my dress for formal night once... The odd thing is I am not cruising until the end of Sept. and have already had my cruise nightmare about a week ago....

Oh well, at least i didn't forget the kid like on 'Home Alone" !!! love that movie!

do you burn calories if you run in your dreams?:D

I haven't burned calories in my dreams... but have noticed that I can add in them. I will dream about adding things together. Will wake up remembering the numbers and what they added up to in my dream.. it can even be multiplicaton.. and the weird thing is.. if I work it out, it was correct.. And I am not talking 2 plus 2.... I am talking of long numbers...at least four or five digits each...

That has to mean something...that is strange.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with cruise dreams and nightmares!

Going to go check the passports for the 20 time :D. I always worry that I didn't read the expiration date correctly and that I will look at it the day before (which is today) and it has expired.

It makes me furiously happy to know I'm not the only one. My passport expiration date is checked repeatedly. I'm six weeks out from our cruise, and I have dreamed that I had to swim to the boat because we were late, and had to jump from the boat onto the pier (after climbing over a lifeboat) because...I don't know why. It made perfect sense in the dream.

This time, because I'm going with 3 people who have never cruised before (and I somehow am an expert with a whopping ONE cruise under my belt (thanks, CC, for making me appear much more educated on cruising than I really am)) I keep dreaming that the other 3 are miserable and it is all my fault.

What a packing list. I had a nightmare last night that I packed all that. The problem is I am male!!!

Think I will just go with- 2 pairs of short, 2 shirts, bathing suit, tooth brush, tooth paste, passport and call it a day. :D
