We will be on the Jewel Of The Seas in May. We have dinner at 6:15 and we leave port at 8:30. What time do we board and what time is the lifeboat drill?

Appx 4:00. But always prior to the ship sailing. Boarding will start at Appx 11:30 maybe a bit earlier.

6:16 is the muster drill. AKA: Mustard Drill

Muster is usually 1 hr prior to sailing.

No matter what anyone posts you will only know the time for sure when you get on the ship!

They have to do the muster drill before departure, this was brought in following the capsize of the Costa Concordia.

I am sailing on the Jewel in two weeks and my understanding from previous reviews is that there are two muster drills one is at 5.30 pm and the other at 8.00 pm for those who were not at the earlier drill.

 

Boarding is from about 10.45 onwards.
