Forevercruise, you did the right thing. You ate at the right type of restaurants. Where many get into trouble is where they eat but also sometimes what they eat, but that is another subject in itself.

 

You know as I've gotten older (hopefully wiser) I don't do some of the things that I might have done years ago in our own country. For example, I don't purchase food that is sold on the street in USA cities.

I had heard that food in Singapore is very safe, so glad to hear that confirmed. But I would hate not to be able to eat street food, or at least in small restaurants in Thailand. BTW, the blog I read said to avoid all seafood, even in 5-star hotel restaurants.

Wendy, Singapore is one of the few places in the world that you can eat street food and it will have the same high standards as a restaurant.

 

You can also take a taxi and it will have high standards too.

The first time we were in SIN many years ago they put a note in our passports stating any illegal drugs on you penalty was DEATH! We tossed our aspirin to be on safe side.

Ted, Singapore had the good and the bad. It is a dictatorship so that has pluses and minuses. We have visited there many times including a post cruise and we did not throw out any medication such as aspirin. They are not talking about aspirin.
