onthelake Posted August 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2013 We are four booked on an Independence of the Seas cruise and have only cruised this line once on the Brilliance. The one thing we did not like was the very large dining tables - 8s and 12s. Does the Independence have more smaller tables? Thank you.

Either have your TA do it or you can if you booked this cruise yourself, either by phone or e-mail request. rcldining@rccl.com
leaveitallbehind Posted August 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2013 All RCI ships have a balance of large and smaller tables. In our experience one ship does not have more of one or the other than another ship. As mentioned just have your TA (if you booked through one) or contact RCI directly to request the type of seating you want. They will be able to accommodate you. Here is an email address you can use to contact them with your request: rcldining@rccl.com

We are still about 8 months out so I hope they will honour our request for a 4 top. Also, we requested late seating so that should help.

sky0000547 Posted August 19, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2013 I had a table for 4 on deck 4 starboard side next to the window. I requested that table size and by the window and was given what I was requested. Excellent job by RCL dining.
Canadian Tyler Posted August 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 19, 2013 Sometimes it works out, other times it doesn't. I always request a 6-8 person table and usually get ties except o Independence I ended up at a 4 top. Not a big deal, had good table ages but just a heads up that the request isn't always fulfilled. bournemouth air Posted September 2, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 2, 2013 This year we requested a 4 seat table by calling royal caribbean. They also advised after we first stepped on board to speak to the restaurant manager. We did this and the table was already a 4 seater along next to a 2 seater. When we walked past the second sitting it was a 5 seater. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
