Jet ski excursion to stingray city

Also what is the difference, if any, between the stingray city & stingray sandbar?

It depends. Technically, there is a Stingray City that's a deeper water snorkel site a short way from the Stingray City Sandbar location. (At the Sandbar, you're in shallow water with the rays, on an actual sandbar out in the ocean.) However, some operators or cruise ship excursion descriptions will just call the sandbar "stingray city" to shorten the description or whatever. Check the description to see if they talk about snorkelling with the stingrays in deeper water or interacting with them in shallow water...if it's shallow water, you're going to the sandbar.

We tried booking with Shore Excursioneer and they were fully booked too. It seems this company uses better maintained Jet Skis for which we were ready to pay a slightly higher price. Anyone else offering this tour?

I would try ebanks water sports (http://ebankswatersports.com/jet-ski-tours-2/). we did this earlier this year and have another one planned with them in December, cant wait! By far the best excursion we've had, ever!

Check out all the others then read the reviews of fat fish adventures. Several locals + hotel staff pointed us to them when we spent a couple weeks on the island and they were right on - an excellent day with great guides. Can't recommend this one enough and they are cheaper than the bigger outfits.

Their last tour at 1 or 2 PM is longer for the same price but check their schedule via e-mail, they are good at accommodating your schedule.
