latraveller Posted September 14, 2013 #29 Share Posted September 14, 2013 Thanks for the pictures and report. We will be there next May and will definitely use this for our DIY. Had thought of the Hoho bus but this definitely changes my mind.
RJ2002 Posted September 15, 2013 #30 Share Posted September 15, 2013 Great review and pictures. Tallinn is definitely a Baltic port that you can do on your own. No need to pay for ship's excursion here.

mkccltr Posted January 21, 2014 #34 Share Posted January 21, 2014 VirtualRain thank you for your picturesque portrayal of Tallinn. Regarding the taxis how many can fit into one. We are traveling with 2 other couples (6) total.

kaznaid Posted February 28, 2014 #37 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Hi Great review of Tallinn - we shall be visiting in June as part of our Baltic Cruise. We have been told that it isn't worth taking a RCCL tour as the city is very walkable so we plan to do that ... now I have your review, it will make it much easier! Thanks again Take care K
hal2008 Posted March 4, 2014 #38 Share Posted March 4, 2014 Thanks for great review. is there a tram or bus that takes you to upper town so that one does not have to worry about taxi-ripoff? are 3 hours enough to complete either Bent or RickSteven walking tour without stops? MarbellaSD Posted March 24, 2014 #39 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Let me add my thanks for this great walking tour and tips. I'll be in Tallinn in June and have saved your itinerary.
Blue Bonnet Posted March 27, 2014 #40 Share Posted March 27, 2014 Thanks also! We did an Alla Tours here a couple of years ago, the tour was a very reasonable price, but I did not double back to look again & shop in the artisan's shops which were so interesting. The leather and textiles were noteworthy.

Old Eagle Posted April 4, 2016 #42 Share Posted April 4, 2016 VirtualRain: I saw your post on Tallinn when researching my upcoming Princess "Baltic Heritage" cruise in the summer of 2014 and enjoyed it very much. I found it very useful in planning my day in the city. Now I have a friend who is also planning to visit Tallinn and I was telling her about your post. When I went back to get the URL for her I found that all your great pictures were marked something to the effect of "Image Protected by Owner." Is there some way to give her access them so she can better plan her visit as well? Thanks, and thanks for the great initial post. - Old Eagle.
