Golden Public Areas

Is there a public area aft on the Emerald deck of the Golden ? We are booked in an inside handicap (yes, I qualify) and would like to know the closest outside public area just for sitting on my scooter. We are going with friends (also handicap) and would like to convince them that an inside with a plublic area aft area is better than an obstructed window room. We are going to Alaska. We had a window last time but honestly felt I saw more being outside.

No, unfortunately, there is no aft viewing area on the Emerald deck. The nearest outside area would be one deck below on the Promenade deck.

Having just disembarked from the Golden two weeks ago I have to agree with the above remark. The nearest and best outside viewing would be on the Promenade deck. Of course the optimum conditions would be one of the mini-suites on Emerald deck with the covered balcony.

Agree that Deck 7 is closest, but as you know the ship is scooter friendly. I believe a better viewing area is the Horizon Terrace on the lido deck aft. It is covered & uncovered and there are waiters around if you would like something.
