dadraftsman Posted May 21, 2018 #402 Share Posted May 21, 2018 Summit Cabin: 2137 Deck: 2 Class: OV Area/Location: Midship Bed Location / View: Near bathroom, faces towards wall. Quiet? Yes Balcony/Porthole View: Excellent Balcony/Porthole Size: Standard Porthole Wind a Problem? N/A Soot a Problem? N/A Problems / Comments: Good stateroom located near the midship glass elevators. Far enough away from the stairs and elevators to not hear noise. However, there is a "white space" on the deck plan near the cabin. It's apparently an area where when the gangway could be located if there's a high pier. On my cruise to Bermuda, the gangway was on deck 1 so this was not an issue for us. Bathroom had a bit of a sewage smell that we also smelled on deck 1, not horrendously bad, but slightly noticeable on certain days/times (not sure of the pattern). AC was also kind of loud. There was a banging noise when it was on, informed the steward, something was done because it definitely got quieter but still there. Best I can describe it, it sounded like when the ship is moving and things tend to creak, except it still made that noise when were were docked in Bermuda for 3 days. Overall decent cabin, looked in good shape for it's age.
vtcruising Posted May 24, 2018 #403 Share Posted May 24, 2018 Ship: Summit CABIN #: 1141 DECK #: 11 CLASS: AQ1 AREA: Aft BED NEAR: Bath QUIET?: Yes, inside cabin was quiet, balcony was noisy on this charter BALCONY VIEW: Superb 180 degree aft view! BALCONY SIZE: Huge, this and 1138 are the best of the 5 aft AQ cabins, IMO WIND A PROBLEM?: No SOOT A PROBLEM?: No PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We have stayed in 1138 before and absolutely loved it. We love the size and shape of the balconies of 1138 and 1141 (1140 may be bigger - longer, but narrower and with the flag hanging in front of it). There is lots of sun on this balcony and some shade and privacy. It overlooks the Sunset Bar, which is pretty cool and the views of the wake are amazing. This was a charter, the Flower Power Cruise, so maybe that is why they played movies loudly from early morning until late at night. The sound carried to our balcony, which made it difficult to enjoy it. The sounds from the Sunset Bar were not annoying, in fact, we enjoyed the music and chatter there. They may not play movies continuously on regular cruises - hopefully, this is not typical, because we otherwise love those cabins. The cabin itself was quiet. sparkopotamus Posted June 16, 2018 #406 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Ship: Millennium Cabin: 6134 Deck: 6 Class: Royal Suite. Area/Location: Mid-Aft Port Bed Location: Wall-facing Quiet? Yes Balcony View: Excellent Balcony: Oversized with hot tub Wind a Problem? No Soot a Problem? No Problems / Comments: Very spacious suite recently updated in terms of decor. However the number of and location of outlets is poor. There were four of us and I can say from personal experience the fold out sofa bed does not provide restful sleep. With the exception of the hot tub everything on the veranda is exposed, i.e., no privacy. Passengers immediate above us on deck 7 could see and hear everything we did (except in hot tub). Don’t get me wrong, it’s very nice but for the money the utility and comfort should be better.

Anita Latte Posted July 5, 2018 #408 Share Posted July 5, 2018 Millenium CABIN #: 9000 DECK #: 9 CLASS: OV4 AREA: Forward, Starboard BED NEAR: Middle (Loveseat is closest to the window, but the single pull out chair bed is on the bathroom side of the bed) QUIET?: Sometimes. There was no noise from above or below decks. No ship noise to speak of. And no real passenger traffic noise...as in people walking past your cabin. However, the door to the bridge is right next to this cabin, and there would be a lot of door opening and closing noise as well as crew members conversing as they left the bridge area. BALCONY VIEW: n/a...large porthole window. BALCONY SIZE: n/a WIND A PROBLEM?: n/a SOOT A PROBLEM?: n/a PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: this stateroom is as far forward on the ship as you can get. The door to the bridge is right next to the stateroom. There is an inside cabin directly across the hall from this OV cabin, so these three doors are at the end of the hallway...9000 to the right, crew access forward, and inside cabin to the left. You will walk A LOT to get almost anywhere on the ship to and from this cabin. It can feel like a bit of a walk to the cabin, even from the forward elevators. Being forward, this cabin is subject to a lot of movement if the ship experiences any inclement weather. We sailed Alaska and the inside passage was generally fine, however, for the last day, when we hit the open Gulf area between Hubbard and Seward, DH experienced some sea sickness as the ship not only rocked up and down but side to side. The square footage room in this cabin is exceptional. From the window to the door is a loveseat, floor space, nightstand, bed, nightstand, floor space, oversized pullout chair, space, wall for bathrooms and closets, door. The loveseat AND the oversized chair are wonderful for a party of 3, which is the cabin capacity. HOWEVER, the pull out bed for the cabin is a chair bed and so it is narrower than a twin bed. ALSO, the pull out is shorter than typical bed. This isn't something that we have noticed in the past because the pull out for DS was always a full or queen sized pull out. The narrow aspect of this pull out however, made the short length of the bed a real stand out. I would not recommend the pull out bed for an adult sized passenger. Our steward made it work, but it wasn't necessarily comfortable...it was workable. For Alaska, this Starboard side has a good view of Ketchikan port and Juneau port. It faced the more ocean view for Icy Strait Point and Skagway.

Rare Presto2 Posted August 31, 2018 #413 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Just returned from the Constellation so here is our quick review of what has been an amazing cabin ! CABIN 7203 Class DECK 7 CLASS: Concierge AREA: SV AFT BED NEAR: Bath QUIET?: VERY ! (see footnote) BALCONY VIEW: Amazing - words don't really do it justice BALCONY SIZE: HUGE - about 15ft by 8ft WIND A PROBLEM?: NO SOOT A PROBLEM?: NO PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: An amazing cabin as others have said, with an enormous balcony. Big enough for 2 sun loungers, a large table and 4 chairs and there was still lots of space. On Constellation the cabin to the right was a family cabin not CC. This was not a problem for us but in the school holidays it could be a problem / more noise. Very private from above and the length of the balcony did not make the cabin dark in any way. You could hear noise / music from the Sunset Bar.

BunnyLebowski Posted September 11, 2018 #417 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Ship: Summit Cabin: 9114 & 9116 Deck: 9 Class: AQ2 Area/Location: eg. Starboard Midship between mid and aft elevators Bed Location / View: Wall-facing Quiet? Yes Balcony View: Good/Excellent Balcony Size: Standard Wind a Problem? No Soot a Problem? No Problems / Comments: Fantastic location midway between mid and aft elevators with easy access to pool and buffet. Cabins under the buffet, but no noise whatsoever. Large overhang on balcony means lots of shade. This is a bonus for us, but may not be for others. 9114 has less of an overhang (ie less visual disruption to the sky) than 9116. Looking directly down, you see a deck and lifeboats, but you need to lean over the railing to see them. Bathroom has shower doors. Would gladly sail in these cabins again, especially after upcoming refurb. Balcony on 9114 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BED NEAR: Bathroom, Facing Forward QUIET?: Yes BALCONY VIEW: Port Side, unobstructed BALCONY SIZE: Larger than usual because of Royal Suites on either side. Only the first 1/3 of the balcony is covered. You can see balconies on the decks above easily, and they can see you. WIND A PROBLEM?: Nope SOOT A PROBLEM?: Nope PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The stateroom is adjoining with Royal Suite 6137. As a result there is no loveseat, just two smallish chairs. Noise from the adjoining cabin was not an issue. The balcony had two chairs, no footstool, no lounger, one small round table. We did see a lounger in a picture from the previous cruise, so you might have to ask the steward.

Blighty770 Posted October 24, 2018 #424 Share Posted October 24, 2018 SHIP: Reflection CABIN #: 1247 DECK #: 10 CLASS: C3 AREA: Port, midship, near elevators BED NEAR: Bathroom QUIET?: Yes (ish) BALCONY VIEW: On the hump, rear facing BALCONY SIZE: oversized and lovely. Spent many an afternoon quietly reading. WIND A PROBLEM?: No SOOT A PROBLEM?: No PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The cabin is a standard sized balcony/concierge class cabin. We had an internal door adjoining our cabin with next door and we were concerned with sound coming through, but none from the cabin. It's worth noting that there is a crew door just down the hall and we could often hear the rattle of plates and trolleys in the morning during breakfast service. It didn't wake us, but was there in the background. On the otherside of the bathroom wall is the cabin attendant's storage area and the noise from that door opening/closing got a bit tiresome, especially really early in the morning. Plenty of storage room and balcony was huge with two lounge chairs, side table and table with four chairs. Two couches in living area, made into double and a single bed. We only used double. My mom is not sensitive to movement and said she definitely felt more movement, but didn’t get sick at all. Her only other cruise was a midship cabin on Reflection.
