phoenix_dream Posted February 4, 2020 #503 Share Posted February 4, 2020 CABIN #: 9108 DECK #: 9 CLASS: Aqua Class AREA: Near the center elevators BED NEAR: the closet QUIET?: NO!! BALCONY VIEW: Good. There is a split in the large overhang above which allows you to see some stars BALCONY SIZE: standard WIND A PROBLEM?: No SOOT A PROBLEM?: No PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Loved the central location but hated the noise. The cabin is right below the ice cream station in the buffet. There is banging and clanging from early morning through midnight. Not sure why it goes so long, and couldn't really figure out what it was caused from, but it was very annoying. It often sounded like it was coming from our cabin so it was distressing as well. Would never book this cabin again.

Heard chairs moving only 1 night (not really late). The only time I heard a lot of noise was the night before disembarkation and it was from below. The balcony has a lot of shade due to the extension of the pool deck which worked well for us. We like to read on our balcony during the day, coffee in the early am. Fantastic location - head aft out the back door and take one set of stairs down to the Sunset bar. Take the stairs across from the elevator down one flight and you're in the Oceanview Cafe. Head forward down the hall and you're steps away from the pool deck and the Sky Lounge beyond that, head up a flight of stairs and you can catch a move at the Rooftop Terrace (we never heard any noise from up there). So Cal John Posted November 23, 2020 #513 Share Posted November 23, 2020 Found this thread when re-booking South America that changed from Silhouette to Infinity. So I thought I'd add comments from an Alaska trip on Millennium last year. Pretty sure it was from the hot tub above. Couldn't hear the hot tub, but could hear the water running through the drains. Had one night when they decided to power wash the deck above. No other deck noise from above, but that was most likely due to it being a cold Alaska voyage. Jeremiah On a Cruise Posted August 14, 2021 #517 Share Posted August 14, 2021 (edited) SHIP: Millennium REVOLUTIONIZED: Yes CABIN #: 8092 DECK #: 8 CLASS: C1 AREA: Just forward from mid-ship elevators (though on opposite side of ship). BED NEAR: Floor? QUIET?: Yes - very quiet. BALCONY VIEW: Good view without issue. Below the supports for the upper decks (which may obstruct view on deck 9?). BALCONY SIZE: Standard (?) but nicely sized. Plenty of room. WIND A PROBLEM?: N SOOT A PROBLEM?: N PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Joining room with 8094 with the two rooms joining via a simple door between in the wall between the two staterooms. Note that the balcony divider could not be removed and the kids' balcony door could not be locked. A good location that was fairly easy access to the mid-ship elevators (other side of ship). We had no noise issues, but a crew entrance was about 5 feet down the hall (forward) from our door. Rare 5:00_Somewhere Posted August 29, 2021 #518 Share Posted August 29, 2021 SHIP: Summit (Revolutionized) CABIN #: 8104 DECK #: 8 CLASS: Celebrity Suite AREA: Midships Starboard BED NEAR: In separate bedroom with wall backing the hallway but not noisy. QUIET?: Very quiet BALCONY VIEW: Spectacular, unobstructed BALCONY SIZE: 89 sq. ft. WIND A PROBLEM?: None SOOT A PROBLEM?: No. PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Absolutely amazing cabin, with a separate bedroom and an enormous walk-in closet. There is a large couch and side chair in the living area, a small dining table outside the bedroom, and a desk, with plenty of storage everywhere. The curving wall of glass overlooking the balcony affords spectacular views. The balcony itself is about 3.5-4 feet deep, and has 3 chairs with reclining backs (but no foot rests) and 2 small side tables. I would note that this cabin has a connecting door to the mirror Celebrity Suite next door, and we could occasionally hear voices, the hair dryer, etc., through the door. The bathroom is large with 2 sinks and plenty of storage. The only possible negative notes are that the only access to the bathroom is through the bedroom (which could be problematic if one person wanted to sleep in) and the bath tub has very high sides making it a bit of a challenge to get into and especially out of with wet feet, especially for those with mobility issues.
BSinPNS Posted October 26, 2021 #519 Share Posted October 26, 2021 Ship: Millennium (California Coastal 9-19 October 2021) Revolution (2019 onwards) - Yes Cabin: 9112 Deck: 9 Class: , AQ2 Area/Location: Aft ,Starboard, near the aft elevators and stairs. Bed Location: Wall-facing forward Quiet? Yes, for the most part. Balcony/Porthole View: Good, but with large overhang which we like. Balcony/Porthole Size: Standard Wind a Problem? No Soot a Problem? No Cabin 9112 is under the carpeted area aft of the ice cream bar in Oceanview. Every other day, we thought we heard something rolling above the room. This is the first time we sailed in a revolutionized M-class ship. The changes were all positive and well received. Our room steward, Jhayson, from the Philippines was the best we have experienced (> 20 cruises). The room was so good that we booked it for a future B2B. We will wait list for 1140 in the event its current occupant decides to cancel.
canderson Posted November 26, 2021 #520 Share Posted November 26, 2021 SHIP: Constellation CABIN #: 1639 DECK #: 6 CLASS: RS AREA: Aft, Port BED NEAR: N/A QUIET?: Very quiet BALCONY VIEW: Excellent, unobstructed BALCONY SIZE: Standard huge RS balcony w/hot tub WIND A PROBLEM?: No. SOOT A PROBLEM?: No. PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: As the Constellation was about to be 'revolutionized' shortly after the Spring 2020 shutdown, there was a warehouse full of paid-for soft goods awaiting installation. During the July '21 mechanical dry dock, all of these were installed! So while Constellation wasn't 'revolutionized' (fine by us, as we're not fans of Kelly Hoppen's ideas regarding marine ergonomics), apart from the crew, we were the first to stand on our new carpet and open our new drapes on the 11/7/21 restart cruise. The entire interior of the ship looks fantastic with refreshed furniture, carpet & etc. Sans 'revolution', the configuration of the RS suites remains the same, which is fine by us.
kweenkmatt Posted December 23, 2021 #521 Share Posted December 23, 2021 CABIN #: 1140 DECK #: 11 CLASS: AQ1 (will be AQ Prime as of 2023) AREA: Aft-facing BED NEAR: bathroom QUIET?: Yes BALCONY VIEW: 180-degree view, center aft. Flag pole visible, but not an obstruction. BALCONY SIZE: Extra-large balcony due to location WIND A PROBLEM?: Half the balcony is uncovered. Wind wasn't a problem, but on some days it could be breezy. SOOT A PROBLEM?: There was some soot in the mornings - not off-putting, but some folks might not like it. Put the chairs under the covered part if this might bother you. PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: When it rained, water tended to pool on the balcony and there was no obvious drain. The water dissipated as the ship moved, so it wasn't a lingering issue. If you go out in bare feet after a rain, your feet will get wet.

The tub in the bathroom is extremely narrow and it was awkward getting in and out for a shower. There is an extra phone in the bathroom near the toilet.
