Cruise Invoice Way Off

Slowdining

Recommended Posts

Just booked a cruise with our daughter who is 18 and she will be in a cabin with us - as the third person she was supposed to be 999 but instead the amount is 574 on the invoice - our fares are correct

She with us is supposed to get free gratuities and the soft drink beverage package - but they would not deduct that off the fare on the invoice, would they?

We have OBC's but that should be separate as well? Is there any explanation or did the TA just make a mistake?

thanks

Ask you TA to email you the Celebrity "Booking Confirmation - Guest Copy" which should be given to every passenger booking through a TA, in addition to their own invoice. That will show you everything from OBC to any other promo you have, and will also show the taxes and fees. If they won't send this to you, I would find another TA. Good luck!

P. S. Not knowing what parameters you booked under, could it be that there was a special promo for the 3rd/4th person in the cabin? That may explain the lesser price for your daughter. You definitely need to have your TA explain the invoice to you.

TA invoices often vary in the amounts quoted under base fare and taxes/fees, but in any case the total per person should be the same as what the cruiseline website shows. Normally, the TAs I've used will show a taxes/fees that is 2-4 times higher than the cruiseline website figure.

This might be what you're seeing.

As others have said, only your TA can answer most of these questions. We could try to help if you gave us the ship, sailing date and cabin type.

As far as the price listed for your daughter, it is possible that when your TA completed the booking of the cruise they were able to find a lower rate for your daughter.

As far as the gratuities and drinks these are not deducted from your price, they are provided free once you board (it is important to make sure they are noted on your paperwork).

For the onboard credit, this too will only show up when you board the ship. Just make sure you have paperwork saying it is being provided to you.

Give your TA a call and they can help you.
