Earliest flight out of MIA

MIA is no fun on a busy cruise weekend. I wouldn't book anything before 11:00. Most would say noon.

Might you make a little earlier flight? Yes. How much stress are you able to handle?

What flight time are you looking at?

I recommend noon.

Can you make an earlier flight? Sometimes.

Can something prevent you from making something earlier? Yes.

So, I recommend noon to be on the safe side.

Is taxi on a Friday morning in December from pom to mia doable for an 11:40 flight or is it cutting it too close. Sorry if this has been asked too many times, just too many posts to read through.

11:40 on a weekday should be okay -- the taxi ride ($24+tip flat rate fare ) will take about 15-20 minutes; you will be going against most of the traffic trying to enter the city. As long as you are off the ship, with bags, clear of customs/immigration, and in a taxi by about 9:20 or so you should be at MIA in plenty of time.

Have a good cruise! :)

Does this mean you didn't get off of the ship until 11:00 or that's the earliest flight you would book?

I am sure they meant earliest flight.

I would still only recommend Noon for flights.

Can one make one earlier? Sure. Can they miss it if something goes wrong? Sure.

I have been on cruises where all goes like clock work but also on others where something went wrong and see passengers screaming at the crew.

To me better to error on having more time.

Keith
