dmix315 Posted September 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2013 Are there any quiet places to read on Carnival Liberty. I have been on several ships that have quiet places that are hidden, or people just don't know about them. I'd like to find a place that doesn't have people walking by or it's just really out of the way.
CruiserBruce Posted September 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2013 I am sure there are- all ships have them. For more specifics, some research on the Carnival board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=215 would be helpful.
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2013 It's always a good idea to ask cruise line specific questions on the cruise line boards. CruiserBruce has it right. Keith
iahawkize Posted September 25, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2013 Obviously the ships library, any lounge including the theatre for their large shows not locked or not in use. Oh and the "secret balconies" at the front of the ship if you don't mind sitting on the floor as their are no chairs. Bring a blanket and pillow from your room. On the liberty there is a bench on the front of the ship. No many people know about it. very quiet.
Bear-n-Babe Posted September 25, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2013 For the Liberty... a) If you do not mind sitting on the floor and in a windy spot, for the following decks, Panorama, Lido, Empress and Upper decks, all the way at the front there is an outside deck area that is secluded. Go all the way forward, then turn left or right and go out the door to the deck at the front of the ship. You will be sitting outside someone's room window, so be respectful of their privacy. b) On the Atlantic deck and Lobby deck, go outside to the walkway and all the way to the front past the lifeboats, there is a less traveled areas that should be quieter. c) also as I think someone mentioned, during the day when there are no shows or special events, the lounges and Show Lounge at the front should be open and you could find an out of way spot to sit and read. d) You might find a quiet spot in the Library on the Atlantic deck. Bonnie J. Posted September 26, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2013 Carnival ships now have the Serenity Deck. This is for adults only (21) and there are no children or smoking allowed here. They mean this too. There are hot tubs there and on some ships a pool. If its like the Glory, there are sofas and chairs in the shade and lots of chaises and a bar right there. You can get towels here so don't need to bring any. This is where we spend the days on board.
okgirl Posted September 26, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 26, 2013 There is usually nothing going on during the day at any of the clubs on the aft Promenade. I personally like to sit in the lobby off to the side or I go outside on deck 3 where there are some benches.
