No as I don't see any better benefits as we get thru the Caesar's loyalty program. My better half is a D member in total rewards and gets free rooms, free buffets, usage of the Diamond club , 20% discount on purchases in Caesar's owned establishment, tickets to select shows, etc. We frequent Atlantic City and earned tier and comp points in the 4 AC casinos. As and example, we are planning a week in Las Vegas in July and can get room for $180 at Caesar's, plus no resort fees.

I haven't received any e-mails and can someone tell me if the Borgata hotel & resorts is part of the M-Life program?

Borgata - no. Belagio, Aria, Vadara. MGM, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York New York, Luxor, & Excaliber for sure.

The benefits seem pretty good, but not sure if you aren't gaming. We will see next month.

  • 1 month later...

I had trouble getting the Mlife benefits on my cruise last month on the Liberty. So I wrote

Royal Caribbean.

They emailed me back, that because I had already gotten a balcony discount, I was not

able to get the Mlife benefits.

But to call 888.561.2234 and talk to them about any future bookings. So I did and we are going in March on the Independence in an inside. So I talked to Richard Berghuis. He was nice enough to explain and because we are in an inside he will call and see if we are MLife members. And within hours he emailed me back and said I now have the Mlife number associated with that cruise and will receive the benefits.

So definitely if they check you cannot get double benefits.

We were invited to the original roll out of the program in Las Vegas, had a nice time at RCCL’S expense,

What we learned about the M-Life program is that if you are D+ and not a high roller in Vegas you get nothing on the ships in the way of benefits,

No free dinner, no waiving of the 3% cash charge in the casino, no free drinks, really no benefits on board the ships.

If you go to Vegas you get a few marginal benefits, 20% off on a room, what they call a line pass where you get to the front of the line in the buffet, no free lunch or discount though, also you get access to the high rollers lounge where they give you rolls and cookies, and coffee or wine.

Oh, I forgot the front of the line to catch a cab to the airport.

This is not entirely true. The big issue is you cannot use both. Most C&A members use their balcony discount. So you cannot use ask for MLife benefits. No specialty restaurant, no drink chips. However, if you are a D+ and have an inside cabin, you can opt for the Mlife benefits instead. At least that is what RCI told me for my April cruise when I am booked in a Prominade room. She has attached my Mlife number.

I have linked my M-Life Account when I was in Vegas this year. I am a Gold Crown and Anchor Member and soon will be a Platinum and have a Blue M Life Card. I was wondering how to get the free drinks and free dinner at Chops.

Thanks

Provided you have not used C&A discount (balcony, other) for your cruise, call RCI reservations and have them associate your MLife membership number to the booking. I am not sure what you receive as a Gold. Once the number is associated, you should receive the information on what A gold gets on a cruise. I'm not sure every status received Chops as a perk.

Borgata is not part of the Mlife/Royal match. MGM resorts in Vegas, Mississippi and Detroit only.

We are diamond plus with RCCL. On the way to the ship I called Mlife and was told I needed to sign up online. I did that and called them back with my crown and anchor number. I was given an mlife account number for myself and my husband. When I got onboard the Oasis for a b2b cruise I went to the casino and gave the host our new mlife numbers. He said to come back the next day as he would have to verify our mlife numbers. Next day he said we were entitled to 10 drink coupons each and dinner for 2. He said if we ran out of drink coupons to see him for more. (We were staying in a balcony room and got diamond plus discount). We got these benefits for both sailings.

We had the opposite happen to us. AS D+ members we are Platinum Mlife. We were told we didn't qualify for any perks because we used our D+ balcony discount.

I wish they would get it sorted out. :)

I think by about November/December they have figured it out and you can't combine benefits. The other issue, why the poster above may have gotten it. The RCI M-life rep told me that M-Life sends the current list of C&A members who signed up over to them once every three months. So if Royal doesn't have your name on the list, its possible they just were giving the benefit of the doubt to the passengers they earned the M-Life status in their casino rather than the other way around.

Do to work constraints we have been sidelined to take a land trip. Las Vegas is very nice in November so we decided to sign up for M-Life. Looks like we can save a LOT on the room price. We registered, then called M-Life who verified our RCI status. then fixed our M-Life status to Gold. Now we are all set. We will get cards when we go to our first stay. So far so good. :D

Anyone been to a M-Life property and used the benefit yet? Thoughts on your experience?

Unless they have some properties closer to Louisiana, no we haven't joined.

I enrolled with RC before cruising as a MLife member. I cruised twice after combining benefits. Both hosts told me I would get nothing in casino as I used Diamond Plus credits to book cruise. Not a high roller but moved up one level on MLife card. Think it helps more in Vegas than on ship.

Me too. This same thing happened to us on both cruises in Dec.

Just remember that if you have an M Life card, to bring it with you on your cruise. I am a new cruiser and took my first cruise as it was free through M Life. On my second cruise, I was denied my M Life benefits because of the wording next to my name - something like "no comp, benefits only" - which I took to mean it wasn't a free cruise, but I should still get the M Life benefits, but the host on the ship took it to mean I should get nothing.

I called when I got back and asked for a $25 credit because I had turned down a $25 certificate in favor of the M Life perks - was told I couldn't have both.

The woman I spoke to was very helpful, and frustrated, and said one phone call to them by the host and they could have verified my status and made clear the perks I should have received.

They have two properties in Mississippi: the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, and the Gold Strike in Tunica near Memphis.

Great. Thank you. I am glad that I came back to see what other cruise critic members had to say. I'm now on my way to sign up for M-Life.

DH and I were supposed to have been to stay at the MGM in November. However, had to cancel. Now DS and I are going later this month. We will be staying at the Mirage. I'm anxious to stop by the players check in and see what we get when we leave. I'm not a big gambler but do spend money in eating and shopping!

DS planned a 4 day 3 night trip for us to The Mirage. She used a service which was hotel and flight. She was the lowest level of M-Life and I was Gold. My sister played about $800 at the slots, we charge every meal, etc to her card. When we checked out today, she had $1 in comps. Now I don't know what others did to get a bunch but obviously we got not much.

I had an MLife Account so I linked it while I was in Las Vegas and e-mailed the Crown and Anchor Society to add my MLife Reservation to our current booking.

If you have Sapphire I wonder what benefits you get as being an MLife member. Any additional perks would be most welcome(: Of course I plan to gamble some on Royal.

U can join My Choice at Le Berge in Lake Charles or Baton Rouge and also Boomtown in New Orleans. The benefits r much better than M life. Went on 2 cruises for free but only paid taxes and gratuities. They also comp up to 500 bucks for airline. When u get on the ship. The host will contact u. U will get a sticker for free drinks at the casino bar and fee waived if taking money out from sea pass.

When I was on Liberty in January I went to the Casino host with my Platinum MLife number... It took her 2 days to verify... and then came back and said because I used the $35 C&A coupon to book the cruise I get NO MLife benefits... I'm hoping the benefits in Vegas are better!

Concur from other posts that you won't get anything from M-Life on a cruise if you used your C & A benefits. For me the C & A benefits are FAR better than the M-Life benefits. I would also say the hotel was not busy enough for the Gold to really be used anywhere. It wasn't needed at any line, etc.

MyVegas game on Facebook and the app for phones: Now I did use the points from this and it was easy. Chose my reward, went to the M-Life desk and had it loaded to my card. When we went to use it at the buffet for buy one/get one free ($33.00 for 13,000 points) and it was quickly credited to our bill. I would use this again. I just did not see the benefit unless I was a big gambler and I am not.

I was in Vegas in June staying a the Luxor. I went to the M-Life desk and showed them a printout of my C&A status showing I was Diamond. They gave me a Gold M-Life card. I will soon be going on Enchantment of the Seas. Is there any value to bringing my gold M-Life card and showing it to the casino manager? Will he give me anything (like a specialty restaurant voucher)? Or will it be a wasted effort since I am just a "reflected" M-Life Gold member?

As a side note, I was able to leverage my M-Life Gold card to gain Hyatt Gold rewards status. That means a few extra perks like free WiFi at Hyatt hotels.

I think you pretty much answered my question, but just wish to clarify.

Did you start as C+A to get mlife to then get Hyatt.?

I am in the process of getting set up with mlife online as we are far from Vegas but feel a trip coming on and being d+ was going to do online then call to get our status upgraded like someone else mentioned.

In the meantime we have an upcoming cruise that requires a pre night hotel so. I would love to know the benefits of the Hyatt rewards if we are able to get status from mlife.
