Miami pre-cruise resturant

We are going to be staying at the Laquinta inn esat for a day before our cruise. We would like to take a taxi to downtown Miami. What is a good area to be dropped off at to walk around and have some dinner.

I would have them drop you off at Mary Brickell Village. There are lots of restaurants there to choose from.

 

A favorite of our is Perricone's.

Closer to your hotel and the MIA airport is the world famous Cuban restaurant Versailles! :D

 

A taxi from your hotel to downtown Miami will cost you about $25+tip and the same to get back to your hotel -- If you choose to dine downtown you might think about changing your hotel choice. ;)

I just used the search engine to find out what I can about Barton G. I looked at their web site and can you tell me is it as much fun as it looks from their web site? Are reservations mandatory? I am the planner in the family and everyone else likes to "play it by ear". It drives me crazy because I don't want to miss out because we didn't have reservations. They have one in Los Angeles which is only an hour from where I live so I am tempted to go their with a friend to check it out.
