11:30 am return flight from Tampa, advice please?

Hello,

I just found out I have to book my vacation for next year this Thursday and have no time to research these forums so I am hoping for some advice. This is our second cruise but first out of Tampa. Our return flight options are either 11:30 am or 9:45 pm. Of course we would rather have the early flight as I wouldn't know what to do waiting around all day for a flight.

My question is, if our ship docks at 8 a.m., does that give me enough time to disembark and get to the airport?

If you do the express departure, and there are no other delays, you should be able to easily make the 11:30am flight.

What time of year are you arriving back to Tampa.

 

I ask because time of year is a factor because of fog.

TPA is only a 15 or so minute ($25+tip flat rate fare) ride from the port. If you carry your own bags off you should easily make it to TPA by 10:00 and through TSA and the train to your gate in time for an 11:25 flight. Pack light - good luck! :)

Thanks, sounds like we should be safe for the 11:30 am flight. It's March 2, 2014 so hopefully no fog!

The height of the fog is December thru end of February. I think it was February 23 of either 2012 or 2013 when the port shut down.

 

To me March 2 is not much different.
