Thanks so much for the updates! If there's any way you can post the times they schedule for the Royal for the first walk-off as well as the first "regular" group on the Royal, and whether your schedule "stuck", that would be super helpful. Thanks, and enjoy the rest of your cruise!!!

Just got off the Royal Sunday. First walk off was scheduled for 7:15.

I may have missed it, but any update on what Princess may be doing for Dave on his cruise. Hopefully, they listened to our plea and are doing something special for him.

Paul

After extensive research, I have discovered what Princess is planning to do for Dave. They are going to ask him to do the same thing for Regal Princess.! :):D;)

Seems a bit surreal as we haven't seen any crew members we recognize. Our steward didn't know about the soot problem as it is his first day onboard.

Is the soot problem in the back of ship? I have room in very front of ship.

Thanks! Are all balconies covered. We are on Emerald.

Oops, my bad. She left a note for me on the ship and in her email telling me where it is for when we board, I was so excited I read her email wrong. She said "if" he is on the ship. Sorry about that. Now I have to go write Carlos too, I was telling him I was looking forward to seeing him.

Thanks for the heads up Pia, I'll go back in my Hobbit Hole now.

OK.. Pia my TA is saying he performed on the Royal this week. I don't know, maybe it was a private event and she was the only one there. ;)

I know I drank a lot of wine, but on the 30 days I spent on this ship, Carlos Oscar was not there. Perhaps it was a command performance. ;) Then again, Monday and Tuesday was just for travel agents and we got off on Sunday.

My wife has ashtma and is actually having an ashtma atack that actually resulted from a cold we both got on the TA (different cabin). I don't know if it had been reported, but a lot of people were coughing. She doesn't feel the soot is contributing, nor have we noticed any smell.

Thank you so much for this info....it makes me a smidge more relaxed about staying put in the cabin we have

Having a great time aboard Royal Princess.

Great job on the M&G! It was wonderful meeting everyone! Jeannie it was so great talking to you today!

A few opinions:

Food has been wonderful. Tonight's meal was really great. Service was a bit slow, but that just meant more quality time with my family. We truly had a special evening together.

The atmosphere on the ship is electric! The Piazza tonight was hopping! I have never seen such excitement on Princess well into the evening.

Smoking areas: Deck 17 aft and Deck 7 aft starboard. (as well as casino and Churchhills). Despite the fact they have regulated us to the back of the ship they have made an effort to make us comfortable. I love going to Sky Deck aft. We hung out their all morning. Plenty of lounger, table and chairs. They even setup coffee and ice water station. I much prefer it to having a few tables off to the side where you can never sit and end up standing around just to smoke.

Internet was good. I uploaded 5 pictures to facebook, tagged them and only used 6 minutes.

Tendering to Princess Cays was painful yesterday. I might stay on the shop next when we stop next week.

I plan on booking Sanctuary for the week so will have some opinions on that later.

We are in the process of docking at Grand Turk. I can't wait to snorkel. :D

We did the Wine Cellar dinner last night. The food was great, the other 10 guests were simply fabulous. We really had a wonderful evening. The wine flowed. We started with champagne and then moved to a French Chardonnay. The main course, Steak Diane, was made table side and accompanied by a Fench Pinot Noir. We were treated to several after dinner glasses of Lemoncello.

There are three different menus for this dinner so we are planning to do it again next cruise.

Yesterday was a sea day and hot. The pool areas were full but still easy to find a lounge chair. The cabanas are in use. People are being quite respectful of the space around the cabanas.

That's all for now.

Cheers, Denise

Hi everyone - didn't realize someone had started a live from thread. Thanks Dave for cross posting some of the Twitter photos that my husband (scottlad) & I have shared. I had also posted a few comments & photos on the roll call not thinking to check if someone had started a live thread.

It's been an enjoyable cruise - over the halfway point sadly on this short one.

I will write up a detailed review upon return.

Alas uploading photos here hasn't worked for the past couple days. Perhaps Dave can keep bringing some over from my twitter photos (keladewig over there).
