saygrace Posted October 8, 2014 #101 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Does this also apply to 123 classic beverage package? Can you upgrade that package to premium also?
awhfy Posted October 8, 2014 #102 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Yes you can upgrade. We're trying to decide right now if we'll wait till we board & use OBC or pay it early & use OBC for something else. Decisions, decisions, decisions... Cost is the same & well worth the upgrade. Sloop-JohnB Posted October 9, 2014 #103 Share Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) Does this also apply to 123 classic beverage package? Can you upgrade that package to premium also? Yes... You can upgrade on board or by calling Celebrity ahead of time If you order ahead, the program code will be preloaded on your SeaPass Card... Vs standing in line to get it done / stickered If you call in ask for the Celebrity 123Go Classic to Premium Upgrade You will be charged $ 10 US per day / night plus 15% Grats (Total = $ 11.50 US) If you are unsure, you can wait & see how it goes for you and upgrade on the ship. Then it is charged by however remaining nights (up to a limit... After a certain point in the cruise they don't sell any more Pkgs) Be aware too that the Pkgs are not retroactive... So if you have ordered anything outside of your max on the Classic, but upgrade to the Premium later they won't back date anything (so a $ 10 Craft Beer is going to show up on your account) Personally, we find the Premium to be worth the extra as we prefer the better brand names and the fancier drinks... As we see it... Just one drink over the Classic Price Max, and the Premium's Daily $ 11.50 is paid for. Here are the links to the Celebrity Official Beverage Pkg Lists: Classic Alcohol List = http://boards.cruisecritic.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=314388&d=1401303537 Premium Alcohol List = http://boards.cruisecritic.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=314389&d=1401303537 Remeber these are the master lists... Availability on individual ships could differ based on where in the world the ship is, Restocking, Customer Consumption and local preferences. Hope this helps, Cheers! Another point to take into account is pre-cruise both occupants of a stateroom have to have the same drinks package - once on board they can be bought/upgraded individually. jammen Posted October 9, 2014 #105 Share Posted October 9, 2014 We have the 123 Go-Beverage Package on Nov 30 Summit and I am wondering if we will have to pay the 15% on each drink still or is it included in the package price? I do like the 123Go , not sure of the 15%
Fjord4Fun Posted October 9, 2014 #106 Share Posted October 9, 2014 I do like the 123Go , not sure of the 15% The 15% is included when you purchase a drinks package. ie you do not get charged it separately. Just to confuse - the 'price up to' quoted in the package is price excluding gratuity, but you do not get charged on top of this. Anyone noticed that currently (Oct 14) that the Celebrity UK site is offering free drinks package and gratuities but as you go through the booking process the taxes are added on? You'll need to call them to get them 'free' or else get caught out. Another Celebrity confusion issue!
