Roxxy Posted November 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2013 I just noticed the Balcony QTY prices dropped to $40 more than what we paid for an Inside! We ALWAYS cruise balcony but the cabin prices were so expensive on this trip, just couldn't justify the cost, especially seeing as though everyone says for this particular Hawaiian cruise - you are rarely in your cabin. Made the call and now we are cruising our 25th Wedding Anniversary on a balcony ! I'm so excited. We are sailing with my BIL and will probably no longer be very close to them but I HAD to jump on this deal !:D I am so excited !!

OnTheGoMom921 Posted November 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Congratulations! Enjoy your cruise! I love all the information that comes through Cruise Critic. Years ago, I never knew you could do that. Now, I watch the prices constantly, because an educated cruiser is a HAPPY CRUISER!! Have a blast! You'll love the balcony. I was out there quite often on mine. Nothing like sitting there as the ship is pulling into or out of port and a great place to watch the Napali sail-by... sailingnut Posted November 4, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 4, 2013 I always watch prices~~that is how I got my balcony on the Breakaway for just me instead of the studio cabin! Happy 25th Anniversary! I always cruise alone~~leave the husband at home~~not a traveler and have more fun~~no one to tie me down! Enjoy!:)

SuiteCruisin14 Posted November 4, 2013 #13 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Congrats, have a great cruise. If there were frequent cruiser points for checking prices, I would be on a World Cruise by now! Prices change so much you have to be your own price search blood hound. Lynda
cjd930 Posted November 4, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 4, 2013 We also noted a price drop on our balcony cabin for our November 25th cruise. Called and got a mini suite for the original balcony price!
fergusonvt Posted November 4, 2013 #15 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Hahahaha congrats! I've done that on the 3 cruises I've been on as well as my upcoming one.
hitch-04 Posted November 6, 2013 #16 Share Posted November 6, 2013 We are sailing with my BIL and will probably no longer be very close to them but I HAD to jump on this deal !:D I hope you called your BIL and told them about the price drop so they could try to call in and get the same deal. We have two different cabins booked through two different TAs for the Breakaway over T-giving, and both cabins were able to get upgraded and they worked with the TAs to get us in the same section of the ship. Don't keep good deals to yourself :-)

Don't keep good deals to yourself :-) They already had a great balcony cabin booked. An AFT, with extra large balcony .... So no price drop on their category cabin, just the GTYs. just hoping we are at least in the AFT area. I just looked at available cabins and it looks as though the ship is still half empty:confused: No telling what deck or location we will be in !
