BugsyCruiser Posted November 16, 2013 Author #154 Share Posted November 16, 2013 We just got back from our 11 day Southern/Eastern Caruibbean cruise a few weeks ago.....I really enjoy your pictures, Chris. What happened to your SONY? What kind of camera did you get to replace it? We will be sailing the Allure next October doing the Eastern itinerary.....pictures you have taken look good, I was jus wondering if you stuck to the SONY NEX line? Here's the replacement for the Sony and it seems to be doing a great job: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/1-j3-compact-system-camera-with-10-100mm-vr-lens/7805053.p?id=1218860885216&skuId=7805053&st=categoryid$pcmcat214000050005&cp=1&lp=2 The Sony just fried on me one day.... they couldn't even fix it so I got credit towards a replacement. I was off work for a while due to medical problems so I had to go with something comparable but lower in price so opted for the Nikon

sweetdarlin26 Posted November 16, 2013 #159 Share Posted November 16, 2013 Hey Chris, Loving to live review. I made it and have subscribed. May not post much but will reading along for sure. Reading your reviews always gets me excited about finding another cruise to go on. Unfortunately I have to wait for Quantum. However, the fortunate part is the great group of people I'm getting to know until then. Hoping for calm seas and lots of sunshine for you. I gotta go eat now that I saw all that food porn. Looks like you won't be getting much rain, but a lot of clouds...tomorrow it will be very nice out sun and high only 84 so perfect. :p Any ideas where dinner be tonight? efields2 Posted November 16, 2013 #167 Share Posted November 16, 2013 I have heard many good things about Hyatt Pier 66 on these boards. Alas, sadly, I just checked and they are already booked for next April 12!!! Jeesh! Typically, if you bid for a hotel in the beach area on Priceline, the Hyatt will show up :D Check the Fort Lauderdale hotel bidding CC board for tips. bilyclub Posted November 16, 2013 #171 Share Posted November 16, 2013 Love the turbines on the Princess's stack. Then whole idea of using turbines on cruise ships was flawed to begin with, but they do look cool mounted like that. A few ships are sailing out today.
