Thanks so much OP for posting this. I just ordered a $500 card. I'm absolutely sure I will find something to spend that $100 on :D. If I'm unable to use the $500 towards final payment, I'm certain we'll be able to use it up onboard!!!

I emailed the on using multiple cards for an existing cruise to NCL and posted it on their Facebook Page. I also posted it to the HSN Facebook page. I have received a reply from HSN that "we’re trying to get some clarification for you on these gift cards. We’ll post what we find out here"

As soon as I get any responses I will share them here.

Well in typical NCL fashion I have received two different responses.

From HSN on facebook - We heard back and have the answers for you, Jeff. The NCL Gift Cards purchased with HSN can be used on existing reservations, however, only one card purchased via HSN can be used as payment toward a reservation. We hope this helps, enjoy your cruise!

I also received an email from NCL social media that says multiple can be used.

I am going to order a few and see what happens. I am sure I will find a way to spend them :D

I will be giving these to my inlaws for their upcoming January Breakaway cruise.

They will use towards their spending onboard.

Do I tell them to give to the person that checks them so they can be applied as OBC or do they need to go to Guest Services. I know this is new but would anyone have an idea?

Thanks.

Guest services (or actually newer ships have dedicated onboard account section there). Same as with cash accounts, the port contractor's employees (they are not NCL staff) handling the check-in dockside do not handle anything like that - they just input or check the passenger information, take the picture, assign an onboard account and possibly scan the credit card info into ship's system, that's all they do.

Thank you. So is it correct they should go to Guest Services to get it applied to their Onboard spending once they get on the ship?

I want to be specific when I tell them what they need to do.

Thanks so much!

Has anyone called to find out if you can apply two cards to an onboard spending account?

I see it says one card to put toward new reservation but how about two cards being put toward onboard account?

I'm ready to purchase but just now thought of this since I want to purchase two $100 cards.

Thank you.

That's where I've done cash deposits to our account (even with CC as payment method) after some lucky breaks in the casino so I'd say yes - at least your parents will be guided to right location if there is a separate desk dedicated for onboard account matters. :)

Up to 3 cards .

Q: How are Gift Cards redeemed?

A: Gift Cards can be used in the same manner as a credit card for purchases made online, in-person, or over the phone to Norwegian or a travel professional, or in-person for onboard expenses. A customer can use up to 3 Gift Cards in one transaction. For online purchases, “Norwegian Cruise Line Gift Card” should be selected as the payment type, and the Gift Card is entered the same as a credit card. For in-person or over the phone purchases, the Gift Card is presented to the agent when payment is collected and cardholder must inform agent of the amount of funds available on the card. For onboard purchases, the Gift Card can be presented to Guest Services Desk onboard the ship and will be applied toward onboard folio.

I ordered two $500 on November 24. they came today and I used them to pay for my cruise. The agent tried to tell me I could only use 80% like a restaurant card but I insisted she try. both cards went through. she said they must have fixed the problem.

Still waiting for the HSN cards. It said they would come separately.

I bought a few and got e-mail yesterday that they shipped. It looks as though now they are sold out on the HSN web site, which is a bummer because I was sort of hoping I'd be able to use my HSN gift cards to buy more NCL gift cards. So, now I have $450 worth of HSN gift cards and no idea what to do with them.

Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but the stuff on the HSN web site looks like real overpriced junk.

Fine Print: Purchases of a Norwegian Cruise Line (Norwegian) Gift Card between 11/4/13 and 12/12/13 via HSN qualify to receive a complimentary HSN Promotional Card

The above is what was posted in message #1 of this thread.

Yeah, it appears though that not only is the promo over where you get the free HSN card, but also that HSN is sold out of NCL cards (or is not going to keep selling them). I was hoping that even after the promo, they would continue to sell the NCL cards so I could use the HSN cards I got in this promo to buy more NCL cards even without the additional promo HSN cards, but it looks like they are sold out of NCL cards completely. I'll probably just hold on to the HSN gift cards for a while to see if NCL cards ever re-appear.

So I finally got the 5 NCL cards that I ordered in the mail yesterday. I called NCL this morning and was able to apply all 5 towards my final payment on an existing cruise. I am so happy it all worked out without any issues :D I was going to be spending the money towards final payment anyways, and was able to get $500 in free HSN gift cards. It was a win-win. I hope everyone has similar luck.

I have received both my NCL gift cards and one of the HSN cards. I have not had luck trying to use the HSN card. Their payment system says they can't process gift cards at this time. There is no way to use it any other way. Has anyone had luck using their HSN card yet?

I gave up and pushed the button that said PLEASE call me. Within 30 seconds I had a call, a live person answered the phone and my order was complete within a minute.

It was a great customer service experience.

She said sometimes the gift certificates get a glitch.

When I get my next certificate in the mail I might just call in my order.

Good luck
