Since we've both reached our 70's trip insurance has really increased in price. Do any of you book insurance with a company that has reasonably acceptable rates?

We generally use http://www.insuremytrip.com/ and https://www.squaremouth.com/ to find plans that work for us. They are insurance comparisons sites.

You might look at MedJet Assist also. I get a temporary policy with them for each cruise I take. I'm in my late 60s and I don't find their policies to be outrageous.

We have found that if you get a deductible of one or two thousand that the rates go down quite a bit. Of course the agent may not bring that up as it will cut his commission down.

You also have to factor in where your cruise will be. Caribbean? Indonesia? Mediterrannean? Far East?

 

I would consider the air ambulance flight home insurance as well.
