Myrtle Ave. Mayhem Posted December 15, 2013 #77 Share Posted December 15, 2013 Have to be honest and say it's one of my least favourite forms of entertainment on board. Really won't miss it at all. I couldn't agree more ! Not my cup of tea.
Myrtle Ave. Mayhem Posted December 15, 2013 #78 Share Posted December 15, 2013 No doubt they will be replaced. X is just trying to appeal to a somewhat younger crowd. Beginning January 1, 2014 every ship will have a rap group on board. Now that's frightening news . Shame on Celebrity . Seems that they are intent on going the lowest common denominator route . Not all of us "younger" people want to have our classy upscale cruise contaminated with rap . Time to spend my cruise dollars elsewhere .

We won't miss them either. Enough is enough. We've seen them about 10 times.

I agree, we cruised on the Eclipse last Jan and between the loud and crude music and constant up selling, it,s back to RCCL and Princess for us! teecee60 Posted December 16, 2013 #81 Share Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) I also don't think we will be listing to the live renditions of Grandmaster Flash, Fifty Cent, Puff Daddy or Kanye West on a Celebrity ship anytime soon. Don't count on it... the suits in Miami seem hell bent on "Modern Nihilism" Wouldn't surprise me at all to hear Dope and their hit song "Die..." at the Martini Bar. miched Posted December 16, 2013 #82 Share Posted December 16, 2013 They were nice for a short time. Don't miss them. For those that do attend the local barbershop events and competition. They are reasonable in cost and very entertaining. .
