We have one evening and one full day in Vancouver before our cruise on Coral Princess sailing Aug 6th.

Any ideas how to spend this time please? We have never been to Vancouver before. We are staying at the Pan Pacific.

Also - what do the ladies wear for dinner on the non-formal evenings please?

You can rent bikes in Stanley Park and ride the loop around the park in the morning (it's 5.5 miles). The park is great. There's a beautiful rainforest within the park itself. Totem Poles too. You can also run it. We found Vancouver a great place for people who like to play outdoors. There's great fish & chips at the Granville Island market and street entertainers too. We loved Vancouver. It's also a fun place to shop.

a few favorite spots to visit are

1) Grouse Mountain http://www.grousemountain.com

2) Capilano Suspension Bridge http://www.capbridge.com

3) Stanley Park and the Aquarium http://www.vanaqua.org

4) GasTown the original settlement area of Vancouver with its touristy shops, lots of restaurants, the revolving lookout at the top of the Harbour Centre http://www.vancouverlookout.com, steam clock and Vancouver's newest attraction which is well worth the time and $ Storyeum - a multi media presentation taking 72 minutes that tells the history of BC

If you are in Vancouver on a Fri, Sat or Sun evening you might want to check out the Asian Night Market in China Town where you can bargain for those trinkets to take home.

Hope the above helps

We are coming off a cruise ship on September 1 at 8am and our flight is not until 10:30pm. We would like to tour around Vancouver, but we have no idea where we could store our luggage. Any ideas????

There is LEFT LUGGAGE at the pier.

The same company also offers a service to take your luggage to the airport.

I agree the hop on hop off trolley is a great way to go. You can check out their website at www.vancouvertrolley.com, there is also a $1 off coupon on the website you can print out.

Along with Stanley Park, you'll want to visit Gastown and go down and stroll around Granville Island

Thank you for the info, we'll be in Vancouver 8/18-22. :)
