Our most memorable embarkation was at Whittier.

 

We left Princess Copper River Lodge by bus, stop at a glacier, over Thomson Pass then down to Valdez.

Then 4 hour catamaran on Prince William Sound to dock right next to the ship.

 

A magnificent full day "excursion" combined with embarkation day.

We had a memorable unplanned overnight there, the wind was too strong which meant we stayed for an additional 18 hours. This time had to be made up to make our port in Japan in time, so we were steaming ahead at full speed.
