I just realized my address on my passport is incorrect. We moved and I didn't change the address. Does that matter? I am leaving on RCCL in one week! Yikes!:eek:

umm the instructions say to print the address in pencil.... so just erase.

 

we are military.. in one ten year lifespan on a a passport we change addresses at least 3-5 times....my biggest problem is finding a stupid pencil with a point!

How could it be wrong? A US passport does not list your address.

US passports do not have addresses printed on them. Where is yours from, might help get a better answer.

I thought maybe their computer linked something to old address too. When they take it and scan it through their computer, I thought it gave them information such as my address that would have to match. I just haven't used the passport enough to know it didn't matter. You made my stress level better! I can find an eraser. Appreciate the help. :D

True, unless you fill in the emergency contact information on page seven of the passport, then it would have your address;)

Yup. Exactly this. It's not printed on there on purpose. They figure you may move during the 10 years its good for and don't expect you to get a new one because you move like you would with a drivers license. Hence, the reason they ask you to write it in pencil.

 

But no one really actually checks it when you travel. It's there more for in case you lose it.
