Courtesy Hold Extended Due to Holiday?

Interested in B2B2B later this year. Yesterday (Dec 31) used the Courtesy Hold feature of the RCCL website to reserve the same cabin on the 3 cruises. Expected the Hold to "expire" 24 hours later (Jan 1 about 8AM) and then I would try to repeat the process so the cabin would be mine for another 24 hours (until I can book thru my regular TA tomorrow, Jan 2).

However, the RCCL computer has not (as of this writing, more than 24 hours later) dropped the 3 bookings - each still shows "On Hold" and, in fact, on 2 of the 3 bookings, the Payment Due Date changed from Jan 1 to Jan 2 (why on only 2 bookings and not all 3 is another mystery).

Tried to call RCCL and the recording says they are closed today (Jan 1). Maybe their computer is not cancelling holds made 12/31 since they are closed the next day? Anyone else experience this?

Guess I need to continuously re-check the bookings in case they indeed "expire" sometime later today - especially the one that still has a Payment Due Date of Jan 1.

I just checked on my hold and it is delayed for payment till tomorrow Jan 2nd

We are still deciding since I like the current Itinerary better but for a couple hundred bucks less and an extra sea day at the backend

HMMMMMM?????

Decisions decisions:confused:

Myself, I'd go ahead and cancel and rebook for another 24 hrs, just to be safe. You never know what those computers are going to do or when!

Cancelled the 1 booking that still showed a Jan 1 Payment Due Date and re-booked so all 3 now have payment due Jan 2.

That was easy. Thanks for the advice!
