Bently57 Posted January 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2014 As a suite guest, I understand we get one free night at a specialty restaurant on a 7 day cruise. I have reserved one night already, and paid for it. But how do I reserve for the free night? I don't see any options listed for our situation. It would be nice to reserve it beforehand. I think they have you pay for the freebie up front and then credit your account once on board...this is how it worked with us in the spring. Rare keesar Posted January 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Usually, reservations for promotional certificates for Specialty Restaurants must be made on board. Some people will reserve and pay for them beforehand --and then cancel on board to obtain a credit and then apply the certificate.
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted January 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2014 It's not "supposedly," you do get a specialty restaurant meal (unless you're on the Century which doesn't have specialty restaurants). But that doesn't seem to be the case, since you've already booked one meal. Your butler will take care of this on board for you. Have a conversation with him/her as soon as you meet. Tiggercat Posted January 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2014 We booked the restaurant on line and paid for it. Then we were upgraded to a suite and could not believe that they reimbursed us for the dinner. We didn't ask them to since we had been upgraded and did not pay for the suite but the credit just appeared on our bill! It was certainly a "suite" deal! Jane2357 Posted January 4, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2014 We are getting two nights of free specialty dining on our Feb. cruise and many months ago I called and made the reservations as I specifically wanted Murano for Valentine's Day (my anniversary). On my reservation it shows as "payment pending" but once on board - we won't be charged.
Bently57 Posted January 4, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Thanks for all the great responses. I went ahead and paid for both because I noticed reservation times were running out for the slot we wanted. I will get in touch with my t/a and see what he suggests. I can cancel one if need be. I really was looking forward to Qsine but the earliest times listed were 8 or 8:30 which, for health reasons, does not work for me. So I went with Murano and Tuscan Grill. jcpc Posted January 4, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2014 As you cannot make complimentary reservations online, I have always called Celebrity in advance (800 722 5941) and made my complimentary specialty dining reservations with one of the cruise enhancements specialists. You might want to call this number and ask that they make a revision to make one of your reservations the "complimetary" one.

It has been our experience that often on line reservations are limited on available times. We have always found once we get on board that there are numerous times and reservations available. This has been with specialty dining and spa reservations. Linda
